Okay, before you read any further, please read this:

I am honestly going to try to make this roleplay as original as possible, even if the title may sound cliched to no end, and I'd like to have people join, so all ranges of roleplayers, from chat-speak to literate is welcome.

Here's the catch for those wanting to join at this point, you cannot be a hybrid, if I want you a hybrid I'll ask, so don't insist to be one. You can be on another ship with it's captain, or something else. BE ORIGINAL. It might be hard to jump in, but I assure you, I'll do my best to include you guys in the plot!

the Plot:

In a country known as the Elemental Region, the elemental dragons are the majority of the population, and around the country, all there is are rocks, deserts, and empty ocean. The Elemental council is the closest thing the country has to a government. It is made up of a fire, a water, an air, and an earth dragon. The water dragons specialize in water navigation and the irrigation of crops, the fire dragons specialize in weapon foraging and battle, the air dragons specialize in weather and flight, and the earth dragons specialize in farming and baking. At this day and age though, most dragons are human, long since loosing their dragon forms, but a small few ancients and elders still retain some of their dragon appearence, while the New Generations are human exept for their abilities, and even some don't have abilities at all. This system has worked for many a year, but now the dragons aren't content with their specialties, and want to do something diffrent, the weather has turned for the worse, the crops are failing, and seas unforgiving. What will the Elemental Council do about it? How will the population deal with their hardships? What are the rumors traveling around about strange hybridized dragons? What is to come?...

Bio: as a child she has grown up in the facility, forced to watch every hybridization for some unknown reason. Her mind is scared from those events, and, when she escaped, she tasted the first sense of freedom. She isn't a social person, as she grew up alone, but she was determined t stay away from the facility no matter what. Her other mind sometimes tries to pull away from her, causing great pain. And she knows that, if a cure isn't found soon, she will die, but she refuses to talk to anyone about it. She knows alot of secrets but isn't inclined to tell, and has some knowledge of the Council's secret.
Special ability: water= water 'gun', a small stream of water comes from her finger
air= the ability to 'bind' things together

Bio: through science, he has discovered a way to make hybrids, and he has strived to make his experiment perfect. In the beginning he was a humane person, but, as time passed, the good side of him ebbed away in his obsession.

Bio: her past is not known, and has been forgotten. She is the water elder of the council, and she is the more stubborn and over dramatic of them.
Special ability: to control and create underwater currents is her specialty, she can control other aspects of her element as well, but not as fully

Name: Fraisure

Appearance:
Bio: he still retains some of the old dragon appearance. He is the serious and passive type of the council, go with the flow and stable. His past for the most part is unknown
Special ability: can create and control weather fronts are his specialty, but he can also control other aspects of his element
Role: member of the elemental council

Appearance:
Bio: his past is also unknown, he is the second youngest of the council. He is the serious and sarcastic of the bunch, not so talkative but is very strategic
Special ability: He can read the vibes, or life energy of any living thing at any given time. If the person he is reading is talented enough, thy can send messages through their vibes to him. He can also control other aspects of his element, though not as well at the wind and water elders.

Name: Kerison

Appearance:
Bio: he is the youngest and the most hot tempered of the group. His past is also unknown. He doesn't trust anybody and easily get frustrated if something isn't going right.
Special ability: he can create major heat over an area, that is his specialty, he can also control the rest of his element to an extent, but isn't very good at it.
Role: member of the elemental council

Bio: She was raised to steer the merchant ships in and out of port, fairly content with her position, but would prefer to be able to control the weather
Special ability: can shift the tide
Other:very hot tempered, and gets angry easily. Very stern and strict as a captian, but is kind all the same. The best time to approach her wold be at night when she steers the ship, where she's calm, best chance to reason with her.

Other: Bossy, easily annoyed, plans to get his boat back someday

Appearence: but instead of the bow he uses a metal staff and ha s a sword.
Bio:he has always hared bieng a blacksmith and lately has completly stopped working and now is out on the street using his powers to put on shows to make money. now he just travels around and has started to pick fights with others for fun.
Special ability:can't be burned at all and has much tougher skin so it is harder to pierce.
Other:very cocky and loves to aggrovate others then he just walks away and makes them come for him. he isn't really into any romantic crap. he prefers to either be alone or with another fire dragon. and has a very hot temper but he doesn't loose his cool very easily.

Bio: She doesn't really count her life as being special. Normal family, normal life, pretty much normal everything. Except, when she was young, she did become half blind because of an accident caused by her father.
Special ability: She can control flames to a limit, as in, she can control a small fire, but anything as big as a house fire is out of her control. She mainly uses that ability to cover her body with flames when need be, creating flame armor.
Other: She will be the first to try to help someone with their problems, but she doesn't let others know her own problems.

He is laid back, realistic and almost fatherly, only set back is he likes his privacy.
Special ability:He can turn invisible, fly and sense the weather
Other:He is a little afraid of water, and gets sea sick quick.

Appearence:

Bio: Saski is extremely illusive but will more often then not find herself in the middle of the action. Apart from this hidden talent she has learnt to fend for herself and has a tendictly to only appear when she is needed. It is not that she is shy at all but she likes to keep to herself and fears attachment above all else. She is the last of her family has traveled for a long time seeking something she never knew existed, she may indeed find the fight of her life.
Special ability: She can manipulate air and fashion it into whatever she wants. The limit- her imagining. She can also create a vacuum around her opponents for a limited about of time. This drains her strength and will cause her to faint if done for more then a minute; it also needs complete concentration so any distraction and its lost.
Other:

Saski is blind but that does not mean she's any damsel. She can see through the air around her and it has never hindered her ability to fight before. Although it is quite an emotional topic for her. Loves all elements of Gaia.

Synopsis of progress so far:
Mar and Elliot were readying the Tide's Eye when someone told them that there was this guy in their hull. They went to investigate and found a dead man. The dead man was a hybrid who dies of premature reasons currently unknown. Juno was a soldier who missed his boat so he got a ride from mar across the ocean. Ren, Tori, and Ginger said that they'd help Mar with her ship. So, they set sail. On the ocean the next day, Juno, Tori, and Elliot disappeared from the ship. Inti, a fire dragon, was walking along the woods and was kidnapped as well. These dragons were transported to this place known as the Facility, where another element's essence was fused with their own minds, making them hybrids. Into became a water fire hybrid, Tori fire air, Juno earth air, and Elliot water earth. There they met another hybrid, a water air one, by the name of Aaid, with whom they planned their escape. That night, after several booby traps, they made it to the door. Aaid, to her disappointment, found that she couldn't escape from the Facility for some unknown reason. Tori and Elliot returned to the Tide's Eye, Juno went to another port to try to find the Director, the leader or the Hybridization program, and Inti stayed behind with Aaid to try and help. Aaid eventually got herself free, and she and Inti found a boat to ride. Meanwhile, the Tide's Eye was ripped apart by a terrible storm when they met Treache, and she is sinking. Aaid and Inti are trying to catch up to the boat. Juno is flying back to help. The Elemental Council are overlooking this whole thing, waiting for the dragons to arrive at The Talon of the West Wind, the meeting hall for the Council. Samuel took a fishing boat and rescued the sailors from Tide's Eye, which had sunk, and took them back to shore. Ginger and Ren got into a heated battle until they ended up forgiving each other. Inti's ship ended up being Samuels ship from years ago, and Samuel now has control over it once again. Inti agreed to train Ren, and is in a volcano. The elemental council is angry, and causing a major heat to cover the region. Juno is returning to Twin Fit Port, and resigned from the millitary and notices that the crops are failing, so he decides to help, needing lapiz azuli, found on the talon. He heads that way as the others do, and falls onto a boat which Traz, water elder of the council, was sailing. They got into a fight, and now they are talking...fairly civilly...as the talon comes into sight for both Samuel and traz. Recem was waiting for the group and led them into the talon where they saw the full council for the first time
Now that they are in the council chamber, they reveal a cure that will banish the hybridization forever, if the dragons are willing to accept the cure, a sacrifice. This sacrifice would be Aaid, for her other half has the ability to 'bind things together' while the director 'tears things apart' the hybrids are now starting to succumb to their other selves, and, in the end, death. The sacrifice was taken, and now Aaid's body lies on the floor. Inti and Ren swear to avenge her death, and the hybridization is lifted. Juno, almost killing Samuel, reverts to his former self and goes off in search of Lapiz Lazuli.
