Welcome to Chronicles of Time! My newest futuristic action/romantic roleplay.
I hope everyone enjoys this roleplay. I have put a lot of effort into making it neat and hopefully prevented confusion in it's complex storyline. If you have any questions, please ask me or one of my advisers and we will be sure to clear things up. Thank you.

Profile & OCC Thread

There is one major storyline below in which all characters should read. After you decided on your character's race, etc.. look at the guide below and read the starting point for your character.

All characters that are not included in the Vessel crew or S.T.F., no matter the race or alliance will read the first paragraph in Blue. Your character(s) may start anywhere with all their equipment and clothing intact.

If you are part of the Vessel Crew or the S.T.F., then you will read the second paragraph which is in Red. Your character will begin based on your location listed. All S.T.F. characters will be wearing basic attire (underwear and bra) and will be given further instructions by the commander. Your survival will be based on how you find your equipment and adapt to the new time period.

XXXXX The year is 2183. The planet Earth is in turmoil now from the lack of law and justice which had quickly disintegrated after the Apocalypse had supposedly struck the once peaceful planet. Cities fell and people died. Burning alive, dying by incurable illnesses, and simply falling mercy to their own people led to millions of deaths. All that they once knew, was gone.

XXXXXNot everyone died during the disaster; however. There were survivors. Healthy, lively people who could and would rebuild what they lost, but not all wanted the old life. The unbelievers of God, the poor, even jail-breaks wanted a new life. A new world. The survivors quickly turned on one another, but as it usually occurred, majority of the people turned to injustice. Over time, the people grew crazy with power. They created their own world, their own democracy. The people who still believed in peace hid themselves away where they would not be abducted or murdered for their beliefs. If found, they were tortured, raped, forced to fight for entertainment or even eaten alive.

XXXXXYears had passed with no saviors to end the brutal battle between man. Other races revealed themselves. Some took advantage of the hopeless human race, while others embraced them.. helped them. Still, it was not enough. After years of living in fear and anger, the human race had become physically and mentally weak. Finally, a very brave and once powerful military commander had seen enough. He found himself in an old laboratory where the most intelligent beings used to create miracles. They were long gone, now, but their work was not. Reading and understanding what he could of their experiments, the commander used old technology to give the people one last chance. There was an experiment that was being worked on over a hundred years before where scientists attempted to preserve life. They gathered the most intelligent, powerful people they could find and locked them in vessels to be awakened in the future. The commander took advantage of the opportunity and sent a signal to wake the people of the past and ask for help. The building that the vessels were once in was destroyed by the blast and the vessels had scattered. Still able to send recordings and messages to these, people the commander not live and breaths, hoping, praying, these people will hear his call and agree to help.

"We will rule this city now... and there is no God, government or form that can prevent our control."

The world was engulfed in a blinding flash and suddenly, all that you knew was gone. Rumors began floating around that it was a true Apocalypse or Doomsday, others believe God was striking down the world's demons and sinners, while others felt it was simply lady luck who was giving them a second chance. It did not matter who you were, your beliefs or race. You, just like everyone else, was forced to start over.

--Humans were split into two major groups which constantly fought and killed one another for power. The people who became most corrupted, were usually the ones who's lives had the most unfortunate events in them. Previously convicted criminals, the poor, and every other misguided soul chose to become part of the group who took over the west side of the city. They call themselves the Renegades and live in what luxury is left in the world. The second, more traditional group of humans have no name. They are called survivors by others and live in hiding so their lives would not become forfeit to a more powerful group.

--Vampires and Werewolves made their appearance after the "Apocalypse" when human society became less of a bother. They grew to their old power, now living in the most indulgent lives they have in centuries. The two generally live amongst themselves... unless they get hungry. Both are neutral parties who choose their own path and deal with the humans accordingly.

--Mutants and cyborgs are outcasts now. Exiled from who they once were, they are shamed for their unusual mishaps. Mutants were usually beings who were deformed or had mental problems because of the blast and lived underground to hide. Cyborgs were classified based on their prosthetics which were mostly given to them to ensure their survival. Even so, they were banished from their friends and families for the constant attention in which their parts drew.

"We have come from the past to save the present... so that there will be a future."

The Chronicles and Protectors will wake up in air-filled vessels scattered around the land. They can wake up anywhere: the city, the forest, even next to the ocean. The vessels are air tight to prevent water or any chemicals from getting it, but the characters are wearing oxygen masks, just in case that happens to break. Their bodies were being tested at the time they entered the vessels, so they will be attached to heart monitors and feeding tubes to ensure their survival. They will wake up in basic covering such as underwear and bras. When they reach Commander Sheer, that is when they will be given the key to their old lockers and able to retrieve their clothing, weapons and other materials they left behind.

"Wake up and listen- It is the year 2183. No one has time to keep track of the month and date anymore. Too much other bullshit to keep track of. My name is Commander Sheer. I know you guys are probably wondering what the hell is going on, so let me explain- quickly. Back in the year 2025, an experimental company known as H.O.P.E. came up with a device that would preserve human life. No aging, no diseases, or any of that other bullshit. You come out as you go in. They tested it for a few years with success, but you know those damn scientists- always expecting more. Well, they got what they wanted. More bodies to test their machines on, luckily for us. They retrieved the best bodies they could find, including a few greedy bastards that volunteered for the money- that is you guys, remember? Yeah, you are in the future- if you are even alive. Don't be expecting much, though. There ain't any of those flying cars or lazer guns here- not anymore, anyway. Society is all screwed up now. It's people vs people vs every other freak out there. Some of us are trying to survive, but the others are crazed! They are capturing people, using them as slaves, forcing us to kill each other and some even turn to cannibalism when there is a lack of food. Not like those zombies you see in old movies or games either. These guys are alive and know what they are doing. I know you guys are not secret agents or army vets, but you guys come from a time before this. You are intelligent, and able to fight better then most of the people out here. They need you. I will explain more later, but for now, if any of you guys are alive, I need you to stay that way. Your bodies are still safe in the vessels, but the building you guys were once all kept in was long destroyed, so your vessels are scattered all over the city. I need you guys to carefully leave the vessels and fine me. Your bodies will be weak at first but I can help you if you can get here. Find me at an old bomb shelter on the East side of town, immediately! Hurry!"

The Terminal
The story takes place in a futuristic city, now known as The Terminal, in the year 2183. The city has long been demolished by the unknown blast, and most of it's buildings rest as rubble in the streets.The roads are trashed, and covered with unmoving transportation and dead bodies. The city, as a whole, has scattered areas that still have electricity and clean, running water. On the west side, rests the city prison, and on the east lies the old bomb shelter. There is ocean to the south of the city, and a forest to the north. Most of the other races live in one of these two areas to avoid fighting and mixing illnesses with the humans.

The Prison
The prison is a colossal, man-made building created to contain criminals of every kind. It was built using stone, so naturally, electricity has no effect on it. The biggest flaw with the prison is it's open, insecure areas. Most of the rooms and cells of the prison are merely gates and can be shot through with ease. People can also drown in their rooms/cells if they are locked in. The Renegades control this landmark.

The Vampire Castle
The vampiric castle is a lone building which rests to the south-east. It was built on a high platform above the ocean over three thousand years ago to allow the vampires to remain hidden. Inside, there is an expected dungeon, which is mostly occupied by breeders (humans that are forced to breed for extra blood) and torture. The dinning hall is for eating and drinking (not only blood) but normal food, and is aligned with pints of blood and captured humans. The vampiric castle is as expected. It is very strong against ice and water, but very weak to light and fire.

The Elvin Castle
The Elvin castle is a beautiful palace that was supposedly given to the first Elvin people by their most powerful idle. The castle rests within the safe guard of the forest, well hidden from everyone who isn't intently searching for it. It is a sacred place, and though tainted beings may enter, they are weakened by the power of light which descends heavily upon it. The palace is immune to elemental attack excluding ones of darkness and sin.

The Temple of Azurith
An Elvin temple- or what humans call a church.The temple of Azurith is a sacred building in which Elves do not normally allow other races to enter. The temple is a wealthy on in space because it contains many statues and artifacts which have been offered to their most powerful God, Azurith. Being a pure, untainted building, the temple and those who are in it are immune to any kind of dark or black magic. Vampires will burn alive if they touch or enter it.

It looks like a lot, but most are common sense.

*Character Limit- I don't care how many characters you have but please separate your characters by paragraphs or colors so it wont get confusing. I would appreciate it if everyone made at least one good and one evil character.

*Powers-It is a good idea for you to look over other character profiles just to get a good idea of who or what you are roleplaying with, but do not make your powers the same as someone else's. It shows a lack of creativity- even if you have used them before in a different roleplay.

*Special Characters- No one's skill can match or exceed that of the people or person with that skill. (Ex. No one is better at fighting with knives then the sharp weapon specialist.)

*Romance- It is clearly welcomed. I love romance, but please remember, romance takes time. You don't meet someone and instantly fall in love.

*Cybering- Don't be n00b! If anything further then cuddling or kissing takes place, then please be mature about it.

*Age- The special characters must be 21 years or OLDER. The past companies did not experiment on minors. Anyone else can be any age, but please be realistic.

*Profile- In order for you to be accepted in this Rp, you will need to send your profile to myself and at least one of my advisers. We will both need to accept it before you may post.

*Subject- When you PM me your profile, please state which Rp you are trying to join in the subject. I usuauly have more then one at a time.

*Races- Majority of the characters in this roleplay are human (specialists and cannibals obviously have to be human). Other races are available such as vampires, cyborgs, werewolves, mutants and elves.

*Survivors vs. Renegades- The renegades are obviously a crazed, violent group of humans. They have killed and murdered all kinds of people from the survivor's side, so lets not have any romance between them, shall we? Would you want to love someone who may have killed your wife, brother or child? No.

*Dirty Words- Cursing is allowed, it is partially a war Rp, but please do not get out of hand. Cursing doesnt make your character more of a bad-a**.

*God-moding- If it is not allowed in any other Rp, why would it be allowed in here? Common sense. You cant hit every time, and you cant avoid hits every time.

*Killing- You may not kill other characters without their permission. That would be counted as god-modding. The only exemption to this rule would be that I allow it. I know you do not like it when your characters die, but if you care about their survival, do not take on an individual more powerful then you. Remember, you can always flee.

*Superpowers- A power chart is listed below to show what powers your race automatically comes with. I am going to try it this way because some people can take advantage of having powers.

*Literacy- Don't be a n00b. Be literate. Use periods, quotation marks, capitals etc..

*Just one- I do not want one-liners! Try to make your posts 3-5 sentences at the least, but don't make it long and boring. I have been finding lack of effort in posts.

*Convos- You are welcome to have outside conversation in the roleplay if it is concerning the roleplay but it must be separated by () or []. Any topic irrelevant must be moved to the OCC thread.

*Respect- This is not Kindergarten. Be respectful of the other Rpers here. If you have any problem, please come directly to me or one of my advisers. We will figure something out easily.

*Love- Put heart by your crush if you have read these rules. You will not be admitted to join otherwise.

*Biggest Rule- Have fun!!!

[ In order for you to claim one of these special positions, you must Pm me first. It is first come, first serve.
Please notice that every group has some kind of leader or dominant family who is in control. Some races have special homes, castles or sanctuary's that those particular people are in charge of. If you disobey them, they can exile or dismiss your character.
In the group of individuals that wake from the vessels, there are two types of people: The Chronicles, who are the specially skilled personnel and The S.T.F. (Special Task Force) which are the hired guns from the military who were sent with them, to protect them.
Some positions in the vessel crew may seem irrelevant but no one knew what to expect in the future. I will try to have missions set up so everyone has a purpose; however, and may add more open positions as we progress in the story.]

[ Mutants, cyborgs and demons are exiled beings who stand alone. They do not follow anyone nor do they rule anyone unless you guys somehow create that kind of democracy.

Strengths & Weaknesses

Humans: Humans are generally fast, intelligent and can adapt well to different environments. They are resiliently balanced when it comes to elements and their bodies can heal after much destruction; however, they are not resistant to many diseases and will easily bleed out if punctured or broken to a certain degree. Humans do not have any powers.

Cyborgs: Cyborgs are generally slower then the average human because of their prosthetic parts which can weigh them down; however, their skin and body is more resilient and harder to penetrate. They do not mix well with water, though they will not die or malfunction unless submerged. They have one power.

Elves: Elves are stealthy beings who are intelligent and well known for their incredible healing abilities. Their bodies are similar to that of a human- as well as their ability to adapt, but they are the greatest of warriors despite their preference of avoid fights. Their bones are brittle, though they heal fast. Elves can obtain two powers.

Vampires: Vampires are the most unusual of all the races. Nocturnal creatures, the vampires mostly hunt at night. This can be both an advantage and disadvantage. It is nearly impossible to track the beings at night, but during the day, they are weakened by sun. They will not die by sunlight, though their bodies cannot reach maximum efficiency because of the energy it takes just to survive the heat. Vampires have two available powers.

Werewolves: Werewolves are the most independent and rarest of the races. They are equipped with intelligence and speed but their dominant trait in battle is their strength. During the night of the full moon, these creatures are even more powerful and no one may match their strength; however, night of the full moon is also when they are more vulnerable to rage. Rage is a time in which uncontrollable desires may weaken the wolf, making him seek blood much like a vampire. True-blooded werewolves (people who were born werewolves) are more vulnerable, though all wolves can fall prey to it. Werewolves have two powers.
