Hello and welcome to ( є и c σ м ι u м ) ғσя τнє ℓιvιηg, a poetry-format superhero
roleplay. Poetry-format role plays are generally attributed to Catastrophism, and
is in no way, shape or form my idea. I've even been told that a superhero poetry role
play has already been done before. So, give credit/praise where it is due. I myself am
a follower of these poetic pioneers. All hail!

In any case, this role play should be fun and engaging, a method of escape from the
mundane into realms creative and exploratory. Above all things else, I want to
encourage us all to pull together and just. plain. create. Now let's begin.

This goes without saying, but keep to the Gaia tos, to keep us all from being banned.
I don't mind swearing, violence, romance, etc, but I do expect you to be capable of
judging when, where, and how much is appropriate.

You don't need insane amounts of paragraph-caged text to be a part of this role play,
but you do need dedication and thoughtfulness. Put some nice effort into your posts.
I need to know that you can spell, when your character is actually speaking, etc.
Mixed media (photographs, colors, etc) is key, so feel free to do some collaging.
Post in the first person.

I'm not going to put many restrictions on your characters, but I do ask that you use
real photographs, and that you limit yourselves to one power each. Key to any
successful role play is diversity, so please do not bombard me with 100 emo
teenagers (no offense to emo teenagers). Develop your characters, make them
complex; give them eccentricities, short comings, fears, weaknesses, strengths,
and philosophies. Make me fall in love. I suggest this fantastic thread for
help with appearance choices.

Affiliations are not absolute. A little side-switching can add drama and dynamism,
both of which are things we love.

To apply, write out a 'character monologue' and post it in the ooc thread.
It's extremely open-ended, so let your muses run wild. I only ask that you give
us a good sense of who your character is (maybe something about their past?
personality? relationships?), and explain to us what your character's power is.
Use color, use pictures, use caps, I don't care! Just get in there and get writing.
Once you've been judged, and if you're accepted, you may go on and fill out this
nifty little skeleton, and post it in the appropriate profile thread.

story progression
Japser, Corey, Guillaume, Desmond, and Addison are all in the yet-unnamed café
where Emma and Claire are currently working. They have just been party to a very
brief display of Jasper's superhuman speed, prompted by Corey willing his cup to drop.

Right outside are Atticus, Alice, Rose, Chloe, Benjamin, and Damien, who have decided
that a nice sit-down is in order after several of their supernatural powers were revealed.
Cashew, meanwhile, waits outside in his taxi for a costumer.

Lev and Ludwig are busting zombies and high scores in the arcade, along with
one of the many Nick clones, who looks on.

Meanwhile Camille has just arrived at her job at the pet-store, Domovoi has just left his
apartment, and all the other Nick clones are everywhere at once, because he's cool like that.

It is currently October 28, 2009, on a Wednesday. It is late in the morning,
moving towards noon. There is now a healthy enough amount of activity
on the streets to warrant that the day is officially underway.

Outside, it is cold and cloudy. The weatherman said to expect showers
later on, and it has generally been a frigid October. It is scarf-and-gloves
weather, so you may want to wear an extra layer today, if you're planning
on heading out.
