In the vastly distant future, long after the travel of humans beyond the Milky Way galaxy, the universe has blossomed into a
populated melting pot of aliens both common and rare. Space travel is a routine activity, and jumping from one galaxy to the
next is as easy as strapping in and pushing a button. Ease of travel has opened up many opportunities in trade goods, but it
has also brought ease for the lawless to loot. Despite the efforts of various law agencies, the chief among them being the
UUPC (United Universal Planetary Commission), piracy in the universe has escalated.

One such pirate ship is Scarlet Stardust, captained by the lovely - yet deadly - Orianthe Marinos. In particular, this ship hosts
an all-female* crew hand-picked by the captain herself. Although certainly not highest on the list of most wanted, the crew of
Scarlet Stardust does have a bounty on their heads for raiding cargo and slaver rigs, bank transports, and other loot-carrying
shipments. They are a capable, intelligent, well-equipped, and powerful crew that not everyone has heard of.

*Female is used loosely, as some races do not fall into the binary spectrum many mammal races do. Some aliens on board can be considered
asexed, unsexed, bisexed, pansexed, etc. Orianthe chooses her crew based on scent, potential, and if she likes their looks.

The crew is treated very well by the higher ranked members on board. They are a sisterhood that works together for the
benefit of their shipmates, and no one is left behind. Crewmembers with specialized skills (navigators, pilots, biologists,
surgeons, mechanics, scholars, translators, etc) hold a higher ranked position than regular crewmembers, falling only below
the first mate, quartermaster, and the captain herself. All crewmembers with specialized skills have private quarters while
the lower ranked members sleep and keep their belongings in a wall composed of honeycomb-shaped tubes in the crew
cabin. All loot that Scarlet Stardust claims is divided amongst all the crew, and they are able to transfer the funds through
a personal secure and untraceable account to access upon retirement. Members caught stealing from the crew or acting in
misconduct are put to trial and, if found guilty, sent to the brig.

It should be noted that, yes, romance does happen on board. People love to gossip about it.

Their ship, Scarlet Stardust, has been painted red to match her name. She has the ability to go into hyperdrive as well as
jump galaxies. She is also adequately armed with artillery in case of attack. Important locations on board include the
bridge/helm, the lower crew cabins, the upper crew quarters, the Captain’s quarters, the galley/cafeteria, the respite
dome/garden, the recreation area, sick bay, the engine rooms, weapon’s locker, storage bay, and the brig. Technology
on board allows them to create necessary food and items from raw matter that they can gather from nearby stars or
purchase while planet-side. The respite dome/garden has conditions that simulate warm spring days, with a projected sky
during the daytime and a warm “sun” above. There are fruit-bearing trees and bushes along with grassy patches.

Threats to the crew of Scarlet Stardust include local galaxial law enforcement, the UUPC, private contract companies, and
even rival pirate vessels.

This is a literate roleplay. Proper grammar and sentence structure is required, and please watch your spelling. We
anticipate that there may be some mistakes, and no one here will be upset with you if you mess up every once and a
while. However, if you are someone who does not practice literacy you will not be accepted.

Even though this is a quality over quantity roleplay, please do mind that you do NOT post one-liners. The content
of your post is often reflected in someone else's response, and low content yields low content. It's bad for business!
Please also note that we are pretty relaxed and don't require formatted posts.

Seek out play opportunities. In a lot of RPs you find a dozen people not interacting because they want people to
come to them. Be the aggressor! Shy characters don't have to openly walk up to someone, but maybe just sit by them
awkwardly and interact with them in some way. Give it a shot~ I bet you'll have a more fun!

Your drama is not welcome here. If you are the type to pick fights with other players, hold grudges, and resist
seeking compromises or resolutions then we do not want you. This roleplay is supposed to be a positive and constructive
environment for personal growth, entertainment, and community. Breaking that by petty immaturity will be frowned
upon and may lead to your removal.

You can play more than one character. You may play a maximum of 3 characters. I'm putting this rule in mostly
for myself. *Gets carried away~*

You may create your own alien race! Write up a paragraph of pertinent information about them and PM it to me,
Bad Little Love, or Mori Kiyoshi. Once it is approved we will add it to a database, where others can choose to
potentially make an alien of that race as well!

After the slaver rig was set on autopilot to the nearest neutral territory and all pirate crew were all
back on board and in their proper places, Scarlet Stardust prepared for the warp that would jettison
them out of the sector. They would arrive near the coordinates Orianthe had given them at the last
minute and coast into the system where the mysterious message had originated from. Apparently
there was a past crew member who had called for their assistance, and her having left on good
terms, the captain was more than happy to see what she needed.

All new crew members were bathed, dressed in what they could find that fit, fed, and briefed.

We rejoin our crew as they crawl toward the coordinates, near a solar system that housed a string of
prison planets, awaiting incoming transition from none other than Genevieve Belanger, or Gigi for short.

The slavers have not yet lost the fight. A hidden defiant member of the slaver rig has released a
bomb hidden amongst debris heading straight for the tunnel connecting the two ships. Made aware
of the danger, the crew of Scarlet Stardust has evacuated either back to the ship or beyond the
nearest airlock on the slaver rig. The crew members of the rig that they had intended to leave as
prisoners have been killed in retaliation for the sneak attack.

The captain spares no mercy to those who would threaten her sisters.

We open to find the crew in the aftermath of a successful slaver rig raid. As the female* slaves will
be brought out for inspection by Captain Orianthe, now is the perfect time to enter a character who
will be brand new to the crew. Characters that are already part of the crew may take part in pilfering
the ship as well as freeing the slaves and bringing them to line up before Orianthe.
