The sun was up and Hunters Headquarters was still quiet. Lacey was in a large conference room, the Director at the head of the table, the four leaders separated equally on each side along with several of their lead scientists. Lacey's feet were on the table, leaning precariously back with her arms behind her head as she gazed intently at the Director. He had just finished explaining the next phase, each of their orders, and the emergency back up plan if all fails. They were reassured however that this would not fail. But just in case. Never hurt to be too careful. He now gave one of the scientists a nod for her to speak.

The woman had long, wavy purple hair, several scars, and despite the usual attire of her fellow colleagues, was wearing a skin tight leather suit. She looked more prepared for battle than messing around with Petri dishes, considering the belt of throwing knives around her left thigh, but Lace had been reassured by the Director that this woman had been around the block several times over. Her name was Kokuna Idris, an adept student in Virology, she had been one of the ones behind a deadly virus that was released in a small town somewhere in the United States. The Director was the one who had helped cover up the incident and had given her a new life, a fresh start. Though there was more to the story then what he told Lacey, she didn't press him for any more detail. As long as he trusted her, Lacey would force herself to do the same.

Kokuna held up a small jar with what looked like a small off-white colored ball inside of it. When everyone's eyes were focused curiously on the jar, she spoke. "This small misshapen orb you see in this jar is made up of a potent and fatal virus. From the moment the existence of monsters was made known to humanity, a small group of us was tasked with finding a more subtle solution to their extinction. What you see before you is that solution." Kokuna held the jar in front of her now, gazing it over strangely. It was hard for Lacey to read her expression exactly, but she swore there was remorse in the scientist's hardened eyes. She cleared her throat and gave Kokuna a cold look. The two stared at each other for a second before Kokuna finally looked away to rest the jar carefully on the table in front of her. The hardened expression she had been wearing seconds ago returned and she continued.

"The problem with these Abnormals is that most of their genomes either vary too greatly for us to find only one solution to eradicate them all, or that their genetic makeup is too close to ours to differentiate us from them. Or that's what we thought at least. It wasn't until a decade ago that our researchers stumbled across a small gene that almost all Abnormals share. The 'A' gene, as our scientists nicknamed it, is shared among seventy percent of their various species. This virus has been designed to attack any creature that has this gene in their biological makeup. Carriers of the 'A' gene will almost immediately begin to succumb to it, symptoms first appearing to only be a cold or flu. Within seventy-six hours their bodies will have completely shut down. Internal hemorrhaging has been noted in several of our cases and has been the cause of death.

"There may be several cases of simple humans being contaminated with the virus, and unfortunately there will be no guarantee that they will not be killed by it. However I was instructed that this would be a fairly good trade off for the amount of damage we will deal to our enemies. An antidote has been created and will be distributed to everyone here. We hope that we will be able to make extra batches to aid those caught in the cross-fire. As stated, at least thirty-percent of Abnormals will not be effected by the virus, but we are continuing our research on what we can do on our end to make up for that disappointment."

Kokuna nodded her head to the Director, signaling that she was done with her speech just as a crackling cry of help came through on the squad leaders' communicators.

"Guess we're adjourned, Director?" Lacey asked with a smile before pulling her legs down from the table and standing up. "Seems we may have some company, mon sha. Let's have everyone fall back inside. Snipers on the roof of the building. Let the enemy come to us."

Hecate was scowling heavily. Who in Underworld was this guy, thinking he had a right to deny her and Veritas the right to at least look over that egg? The hairs on her neck prickled up as she hunched forward, ready to change, ready to rip him apart to take back what was once Keristrasza's. She watched furiously as his skin covered with red scales and the tree house began to heat up. A bead of sweat ran down her neck.

No. She was too weak to transform into her wolf form. She was too weak to really do much of anything right now. Her umbrella still in Ziggurat's hand began trembling and shimmering and her eyes glinted. That could always be her last resort. It wasn't a bad one, but Hecate knew she was going to lose this fight. He started it though, and she wasn't one to back down so easily. Especially when it came to Keristrasza.

But before anything could happen, before Hecate could take the umbrella from Ziggurat, before she could unleash every little ounce of power she had left within her, Veritas' hand touched her shoulder and instantly he worked his magic on her. "That's cheating," Hecate growled through clenched teeth, trying to fight through his overwhelming calming effect. Nothing. There was no fighting it, even if she wasn't as weak as a newborn pup like she was now. She never stood a chance.

She was forced to listen to his explanation which only aided in calming her down more. She relaxed, stood up straight, and resorted to glaring heatedly at Kyvael. She gathered that the two hadn't made their introductions yet and she couldn't help but wonder how long the two stood there without knowing who the other was before Hecate had stumbled in. How awkward.

As Veritas continued to explain things to Kyvael, Heca looked down at her hand that Veritas had magicked with his darkness and fire on the whereabouts of Kenneth's home. Her hand still lightly stung, but it didn't bother her. She nodded slowly as she focused on the information that had been absorbed through her hand. She saw the house, she saw which floor. She had come for what she wanted, but she wasn't ready to leave yet, not until she was sure that this dragon was going to keep the egg safe. This wasn't Emery, Keristrasza had not entrusted her last child to him.

Deciding to keep quiet and let Veritas do what he did best, Hecate simply stood back beside Ziggurat, grabbing her umbrella from him and resting it upon her shoulder. While she waited she began to form a plan on what would need to be done to retrieve back Tiger's soul so as to be reunited with Sheliss. Wasn't going to be easy, but these things never really were.

❝ And we'll never be royals ▪ It don't run in our blood ❞

Her small smile widened a bit when Zeke also complimented her in a joking fashion. What he had expected when he bought her from the auction? A damsel? There was a reason so many guards had flanked her and why they ended up burning the anicent runes into the flesh of her nape. Attention fell from her quickly as her owner decided to question their new friend and why he had been caught with these men. It was a very interesting question, and a good one. Even though Lyvia doubted it was of Phaestos' own will, she still wanted to hear it from his own mouth. Lyvia always had a knack for telling when people were lying since her demon blood loved all things carnage and evil. It was always an ongoing battle inside her head to be her own person, and not what her blood wanted her to be.

For a moment, Phaestos looked disgusted with Zeke's questions. She couldn't blame him, though. His answer, however, took Lyvia by surprise. She had never been too interested in history but a lot of those names were familiar to her. To hear that this man was that old would take anyone by surprise. If it weren't for her linage, Lyvia might not have believed him, but her gut told her he wasn't lying. This meant that this man had probably just woken from one of those 'slumbers' he mentioned earlier and had been wandering around when this gang cornered him. Poor guy was probably lost about today's time.

Unfortunately, when Phaestos finally finished speaking he fell to his knees in pain. Lyvia could see no major wounds on the man, but it was obvious he was hurting. After a few moments he seemed to be able to stand on his own again, but in a very shaky fashion. On top of that, he started to speak to himself again using the name 'Athena'. As curious as Lyvia was, she'd have to save her questions for later when he was well enough to function. Taking a swift step forward, the fox inspected the man as best she could before reaching for his arm. "I'm not sure what's going on, but I will act as your support until we can get you somewhere safer." Without waiting for permission, she shifted her stance so that she was standing next to him and took his wrist so she could pull his arm around her shoulders and neck. A big mistake. She hadn't inspected his palm so she hadn't noticed the small, bleeding wound there. As soon as the wound was close enough to brush her nape, the runes on her activated. The blood that was near was sucked from Phaestos' hand and her body when still. Like before, those runes glowed bright for a moment as they accepted Phaestos' as her new owner and controller.

Despite her sitll fast beating heart, Lyvia continued with her movements and settled his arm around her so she could support some of his weight. Her green hues now stayed cast to the ground as her mind accepted what just happened. He was bound to notice the strange feeling that had just taken place in his hand and was sure to ask her for an answer that she would not want to give. This thought made her ears once again flatten against her skull. It was foolish of her to make such a rookie mistake, but if she wanted to, she could use this in her favor. If he was like Zeke and didn't understand the rules of the runes unless explained, she could leave out some major details to a degree. This was something she'd have to think over fully and carefully.

The red dragon's glaring gaze shifted from the raven haired woman to the man with red hair that Emery left behind as he began to move. The man's movements were slow, careful, and confident. It was obvious Kyvael did not intimidate him at all, but that didn't bother the dragon. Kyvael was well aware of the man's power and although he didn't know what this male was, it wasn't in Kyvael's nature to back down. It also seemed the woman wasn't too afraid either as she prepared herself to jump into battle. Fortunately, Emery's friend stepped in by placing his hand on the woman's shoulder. He then explained that he knew of the egg and that Emery was destined for it and that they were merely guardians for it. At least he openly admitted that it was Emery's property now.

It was then that the red head decided it was now time for introductions. He told Kyvael that his name was Veritas and that he was a close friend of Rain and Emery's. This Kyvael had already deduced, otherwise Emery would not have left Kyvael here alone with this man. The woman was then introduced as Hecate, the Goddess. For a moment, Kyvael's gaze wandered back to her but with little interest. He wouldn't call the man a liar, but he cared little for Gods and Goddess. Lastly, he explained where the egg came from and that name rang a bell. He had heard of the dragoness that lived among humans and sought out peace for all races. He had heard of her power and age, but had never met her. For her to have entrusted this egg to Emery was a great deal.

When Veritas mentioned them being friends with the dragoness and their excitement of knowing she had an heir, Kyvael found himself slowly calming. Veritas obviously knew a great deal about dragons if he was friends with one, which explained why he was so calm and decided to explain the situation instead of using force. He also requested Kyvael to stop warming the house less it caught fire. Still on edge, but a bit more trusting now, the red dragon slowly willed the heat away and the house began to return to a more comfortable temperature. He also allowed his scales to fade back into flesh, but that didn't mean he wasn't ready for a fight. He might be okay with Veritas, but that Hecate woman had been willing to attack him. To Kyvael, that meant she was enemy, Goddess or not.

Carefully, Kyvael reached into the bag on his lap and withdrew the ruby red egg with flecks of gold scattered along the shell. It's heat was similar to his own and he could feel the beat of the young dragon's heart. Still protectively keeping the egg in his lap, Kyvael glanced over to the two beings who were adamant about seeing the egg. "Understand, I believe you're telling the truth otherwise Emery wouldn't have left you with me. However, if you so much as think of betraying me and taking this egg, I will fight you to my dying breath." To say loyalty was one of Kyvael's strong suits was an understatement. If only Emery understood how much Kyvael cared for him and why. Unfortunately, they never had that kind of relationship.

Veritas stepped up and nodded once at the dragon after he spoke. In a very dry matter of fact tone he returned the statment with an equally honest one "As it very well should be. If you were not willing to die to protect it I would be forced to kill you and find someone who was...That egg is more important to me than you will ever know." Veritas pulled off the second leather glove and approached slowly towards the egg and it's current protector. He moved with a smooth and deliberate slowness to his knees once in front of the two.

A breath slid from his lips, his hands touching the egg tenderly to feel it. he eyes lit up slightly with an emerald glow as his speech suddenly shifted to Draconic instead of english. "mobi ui wer nhee youwe di tobor. wer warmth vur tobor irsa dronilnric vi yinxirzij ekess wer trekis vur vi gasp. si mi malrak persvek nbelaern batobot vi inloil di wux sjerit waphic..." He smiled to himself, pulling his hands away and waving to Hecate "She wouldn't dare harm it either. She know's I would end her for it...." Veritas stepped back and rose to his feet. He looked to his hands, slipping his leather gloves back on and speaking to Kyvael "So tell me, Kyvael, How has your relationship with your brother been?" How did Veritas know his name? Well because Veritas was part of Emery now. It was luck more than anything since he was sure either Emery had said or thought the name before leaving and Veritas just so happened to catch it with the thoughts attached to the name. "I only ask because I didn't see you around the first time hell broke loose. When Cain came about and tore up this city. Tell me, did you know that Emery died? Is that why you came here? Or are you trying to mend something?"

Meanwhile...

Elsa turned her head to look directly at Rain as she began to fog up and stare past her into the distance. That was odd, could she see her? Or was she looking through her? Elsa pondered this and took a single step toward her. The black swirls of aura in the air that no one could see but Rain wrapped around her as a test to see if she could indeed see what Elsa suspected. Before she could find out Rain flopped forward and right into a puddle of blood.

Elsa looked to the side and murmured to herself, watching Rain from the corner of her eye. This girl was no ordinary woman. Elsa knew that because of her master telling her but she hadn't thought Rain was that far from a human being yet. Apparently when you spend enough time around creatures like angels and Veritas it leaves a lasting and changing effect. Elsa would be sure to question her master on this when she was able. Was Rain even human still? Or was she in between? No, she was human..for the most part. "As I see it we need to move now or we will lose this...Isamu. Give me a bearing and we can get there quickly. It will greatly weaken me but we will move very fast. That is what we need now, yes?" Elsa sighed heavily as Emery took off. Oh that was just lovely. Were they doing this on purpose? She was new to the group perhaps they didn't trust her? Elsa grumbled to her self as she waved a hand to open a gate and appear walking out into a puddle of blood. This looked like the right track "Well then, let us be on our way"

Hecate's feathers were still ruffled, even as the dragon's scales faded back into human flesh. It was the way he was looking at her, like she was the enemy, when in fact he was holding on to the last fragment of her best friend in his arms. If he couldn't understand why she was this visibly upset, well... there were a few choice words in her ancient language she had for him. But Veritas insisted on keeping the peace and since this dragon was this agitated and still in control of the egg, Hecate didn't want to chance that he would do something to it in his rage. Not that he would live long after doing so...

She rolled her eyes at his threat. He was being pissy for all the wrong reasons, protecting the egg for his brother Emery, instead of wanting to protect it because this baby dragon was the last legacy of the Dragon Mother. It made her furious, but she kept herself in check while Veritas approached the egg. Her blue eyes watched him caress it softly and then her eyebrows furrowed on his Draconic speech. It had been a long time since she heard the language and she was extremely rusty on its translations anyways. She pretty much got the eloquent words Veritas had said, though maybe not the full effect.

At his small threat of ending her for harming the egg, Hecate's mouth tightened in annoyance, about ready to yell at him that Keristrasza was her friend too, when she stopped herself. Suddenly her eyes turned glassy and her throat tightened. It wasn't so much the grief of losing the Dragon Mother that had been bothering Hecate like it was bothering V. It was the guilt that Hecate and Keristrasza hadn't been as close in the past couple decades. Veritas was closer to the dragoness than she had been lately. It was such a stupid argument, and the annoying thing was that Hecate had been right. Keri wasted her time on these worthless humans, and in return they took her life from this world.

As Veritas spoke and Hecate approached the egg to touch it, to feel Keristrasza's legacy's heartbeat within, a small chill ran down her spine. This child would never know their mother, would never learn from her, would never grow up to be like her because she wasn't here to guide him. Her hands shook in her fury as she drew them away from the egg. And who knows who the father was since Keristrasza had so many mates. In the human realm she might have been thought of as a whore, but that was the dragoness' duty; she had to mix up the genetics along the time line and create more varieties of dragons.

Hecate stepped back as Veritas spoke to Kyvael, but she wasn't listening, instead feeling the overwhelming grief and guilt crash like waves over and over within her. She shouldn't have left Keristrasza alone with these vermin calling themselves humans. She should have forced Keristrasza to leave them to their inevitable demise. And because she didn't, her old friend was gone. Someone had to pay for this, didn't they? Justice wasn't in her job description, but she could fit it in.

"I'm going now, V. Thank you for the information on his place of residents. I will contact you when I go to retrieve his soul for you." She wasn't sure if she had interrupted him or Kyvael when she spoke, but she honestly didn't care. She had to distance herself from her guilt, and she had to try to think more rationally because in that moment, the old goddess of wrath and wickedness was about to take over and who knew the destruction she would unleash before she could stop herself.

"Keep that egg safe," she called over her shoulder as she strode out the double doors and back onto the porch. She tilted the umbrella to block the painfully bright rays of the sun before hoping over the railing to the ground below.

Kyvael wasn't unnerved by Veritas' threat. A guardian was just that, a guardian. Kyvael knew all too well the length someone would go to to protect something extremely important to them. If this egg was a treasure for this man, then he would do anything to make sure it was safely kept. While they completely trusted Emery to the job, Kyvael was another story. They didn't know him well and he understood that. If anything, he'd be skeptical too. Probably the only thing going for him right now was the fact that he and Emery were related. Even though he doubted Emery would take any sort of revenge for his death, his brother wouldn't be happy about it either.

The dragon's gold gaze idly followed Veritas as he moved slowly to his knees in front of him. He knew Veritas wouldn't harm the egg at this point and he didn't bother to keep too much of a watch over the man. It was that woman Kyvael was concerned about. If she was so quick to jump into a fight simply because Kyvael was doing his job, what else would she try to do? While Kyvael ran these thoughts through his head, Veritas was busy touching the egg ever so lightly. It was the familiar language that caught Kyvael's attention and brought him back to the world.

Once the man was finished, he slowly removed his hands and backed away. Almost immediately after, he beckoned Hecate over assuring Kyvael that she wouldn't dare harm the egg either or Veritas would end her himself. Obviously, she didn't like that with the way the muscles around her mouth tightened, but she held her distaste to herself. Instead, she approached with a look of grief and, she too, began to touch the egg.

For a moment, Kyvael's attention was drawn from Hecate's closeness when Veritas began to question him. Of course, the question was one of a touchy subject that made Kyvael bristle. Still, the man continued in order to explain himself. Kyvael's absence during Cain's wrath had man Veritas curious but what he said next made Kyvael's pupils slit. "I had not known of Emery's death and from your words, I would be safe to assume you assisted in his revival." For a moment, the fire breather went silent, his gaze distant as he measured his next words. "Emery is my half brother through our mother. Our relationship has been naught since we first met. He has every right to hate me and I shoulder that without complaint." There was no reason to explain why Emery hated him. It wasn't his place. If Emery wanted people to know, he would explain it himself.

"As for the reason I am here, I had merely come to check in on my baby brother and his human mate. Unfortunately, I showed up just after the dragoness was slaughtered. Emery hasn't sent me away just yet and for that I am thankful, but I hadn't come expecting to be a babysitter." None of this was said with distaste. Kyvael was secretly thankful for the egg giving him an excuse to stay close to Emery. It was at the moment that Hecate decided to announce her leave as she suddenly withdrew from the egg. Kyvael said nothing move even as she called out over her shoulder. He merely watched her go.

❝ And we'll never be royals ▪ It don't run in our blood ❞

Unfortunately, things were not starting off well. Phaestos' reaction was something normal, Lyvia supposed. He was startled and pulled away from her causing him to tumble to the ground. His shield was then pulled in front of him for protection as he snarled for an answer as Lyvia expected to happen. Thankfully, despite his tone of voice, the runes hadn't taken his growling as an order. "It's no sorcery of my own and nothing I've volunteered for." Before explaining any more, Lyvia turned her back to the rising man and reached to remove the hair from her nape, exposing the symbols carved into her flesh. "This is what you felt. You see, Zeke bought me from a slave auction to save my life. Unfortunately, these runes were placed before then as a security measure."

Now was the hard part. Should she explain everything and hope that Phaestos was as kind as Zeke or keep those secrets to herself? Quickly, she decided it would be best to tell the entire truth. Some people didn't react well to lying and eventually she would be caught. "This rune binds my powers and forces me to obey my master's commands. The words to use are Release and Repress." A basic run down should be fine, right? If he had any more questions, then she would provide the answers as they were asked. Releasing her hair to tumble back down over her shoulders, the fox then turned back around to eye the estranged man.

Lyvia was in for quite a surprise as she turned around though. A voice, not of her own entered her mind. This magic is… odd, love. Such spells; rarely have I seen such oddities. In that moment, Lyvia's green eyes widened in surprise. Who the hell was that and how were they speaking in her mind? Slowly her gaze roamed the alley way only to find that she and Phaestos were the only two still conscious. Phaestos then spoke, however, as he had been doing as if speaking to himself, but this time it was in response to the voice in Lyvia's head. To her great shock, the voice answered back: I am not sure yet.

Unsure of how to deal with this, Lyvia took a shaky breath before putting in her own two sense. "It holds no danger to you that I am aware of. However, this is the first time I've heard someone else's voice in my head. Who is she and how is she doing that?" This couldn't be normal. After all, she couldn't hear Zeke's voice when he was her owner and Phaestos was a man, not a woman. Where was the source of this oddity and was there a way to get rid of it? Lyvia didn't take kindly to the idea of having someone else be in her head.

Bound to Isamu.
Ura-kun. You gave me a second chance.
This time I will stand by your side.
I will not fail you.
I swear upon this sword. Our bond. Our bind.
Thank you so much.
So very much.
Connected to Imogen.
Connected to Rain.
Bound to Ukina.
Elder/Connected to all Vampires in Yorkshire.
I can feel you all.
Can you feel me?

Ukina followed Emery to the building that was pointed out. When they landed she immediately began to put her nose to work. She recognized the elders scent. It was faint, but it was there. Chances were they wouldn't be able to trail him. She was more interested in finding the twins anyway. She felt like that was the better move. Ukina looked to Emery and decided to signal for him to follow, her wings of fire carrying her through the sky as she followed the scent of the two twin vampires. They'd better have some good news for her, or she'd burn them both alive.

[Sorry it's short. Haven't roleplayed in a long time so I'm getting back into it. xD Forgot how fun this was.]

"No, no, I'm fine, don't worry about it. Think I'm still half asleep, that's all," Rain reassured Emery, but her gaze was on Elsa. She crossed her eyes a little, trying to get that image of her back, but there was nothing. Frustrated, she closed her eyes, took in a deep breath while focusing on what she remembered seeing, opened them and froze. Elsa was back to having no eyes. She opened her mouth, saying something to them, but Rain was too caught up with the nightmarish figure before her to understand her. Emery leaped across the ground jarring Rain out of whatever plane she was on and as they jumped into the air, Elsa returned to her normal figure before disappearing through a void.

"Okay, so, there may or may not be some weird s**t going on," Rain admitted once they landed on top of the building. She dropped herself out of Emery's arms and wrapped her arms over her chest. What was wrong with her? Between the freakishly real nightmares of Cain to now seeing s**t she probably shouldn't be seeing. Maybe... maybe after this whole thing with finding Isamu was over, she should check herself into the hospital. Get a psyche eval. Tiger had suggested that a few times when she admitted the nightmares she had when she finally managed to fall asleep.

She glanced at Emery and quickly decided against it. She just needed to get her s**t together. This was just some weird phase, that was all. Of course she came out scarred from after what happened with Cain. That was all. She inhaled deeply, closed her eyes, opened them and jumped off of the ground when Elsa stepped out onto the building next to them. She was normal. Rain was staring, she knew that, she knew she was being extremely rude. But she couldn't help it. When was she going to change again? And why was it only her that changed? Why not Emery? Elsa spoke, and Rain quickly looked away in guilt to watch Ukina flying in to join them, nodding her head to what Veritas' sidekick was saying.

Right. They had to find the twins.

"Well, with a vampire and a dragon on their trail, they won't get far," Rain said lightly, smiling at Emery as she assumed his enhanced sense of smell was already on the job. "So... Where are they boy?" she asked, grinning to let him know she was only kidding at the pet name.

Phaestos stayed in his defensive postion as he listened to Lyvia speak. As he heard the description, he felt his curiosity rising. Who would need a spell like that on them. What surprised him the most, however, was her response when Athena spoke. She... reacted to the voice, as if she coul hear it. He could physically feel Athena grow restless inside his head as she spoke, and he realized that she was excited.

"It holds no danger that I am aware of. However, this is the first time I have heard someone else's voice in my head. Who is she, and how is she doing that?"

Lowering his shield and spear, Phaestos began to chuckle, "Child, perhaps it would be best to let introductions to be made by her." He closed his eyes, and let Athena speak.

Hello, Lyvia. Do not hold worries, I will not harm you. I am Pallas Athena to the Greeks, Minerva to the Romans. Other names I held are lost in the annals of history. I, child, am a Goddess.

As she said that, she released the spell of disguise held over Phaestos. his armor flashed into view, brilliant gold and silver armor of his Spartan heritage decorated with pieces from throughout history. The breastplate was Greek, the owl of Athena emblazoned on the chest. The left arm was covered in chainmail, and a Roman iron skirt fell around his waist. His legs were covered in the plate of the crusaders. A seeming mismatch, but each piece was painstakingly crafted to blend into the next. A cloak covered in Norse runes fell down his back, a gift from the Vikings he fought besides, and Lyvia noticed that, on the head of his spear, there was totems and feathers tied on from the Native Americans fought against. Standing tall, a glorious blend of history, the protector of a God.

When Phaestos began to chuckle in his spoke at her reaction to the voice, Lyvia's eyes narrowed a bit more. She didn't like being made fun of, especially when she had no idea what was going on. It was bad enough to be blood bound to an unknown man she had just met, but now she had a weird female's voice in her head that only she and Phaestos could seem to hear. Still, he seemed in a bit better mood and allowed the woman to speak through him with her 'introduction'. The woman introduced herself as Athena, a goddess. Of course, Lyvia was well briefed on her history and had heard of Athena, but the information was a bit hard to easily accept. Thankfully, she didn't have to ask for proof.

Before her eyes, Phaestos began to change. His true self came through in a blaze of gold; the armor being worn obviously made in times way before Lyvia was even thought of. Truly, it was an impressive sight and Lyvia now understood his speech and way of battle. Still, the halfling now had many other questions swarming her mind. What was he doing here? If he was truly possessed by the Goddess Athena, how had that come to be? What would become of Lyvia's life now that he basically owned her? The inside of her brain was buzzing but she attempted to keep herself in check. She wasn't sure if Athena could hear her thoughts like she could hear the Goddess.

Taking a deep breath, the fox girl adjusted her stance and once again pulled at her gown to try and get it a bit lower on her legs. "It's a pleasure to meet you, I think. I'm going to guess my rune has something to do with me being able to hear you?" This, of course, was as she said: a guess. Lyvia hadn't been given a complete book on how the rune worked after all; just the basic run down of what she was in for. Hell, she wasn't even sure if the people that put it on her had a full understanding of the magic they were tinkering with. "Also, why are you two here? You mentioned being awakened, but for what?" Basically, Lyvia was asking 'what now'? Her next move was completely lost to her at this point.
