▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒ ▒▒ ▒| I am: at the arriving station | with : Jacquie and Abigail | and feel: alert |
x▒ Everything just seemed so in place, like everyone here belonged and had nothing to really worry about minus what they were going to have for dinner or how they were doing in work. It was peaceful, a different sort of peaceful than that of the muggles but peaceful nonetheless. Professor Burke had just let out a long breath when all of that peace went out the window and people began stampeding around like wild animals. She honestly thought that she had been thrown back in time somehow, back to when she watched those muggles run from bulls all those summers ago. For what purpose? She couldn't tell you she was too drunk to know, what she did remember was that it was funny as heck in her drunken state. But that was besides the point, the tranquility of the village was completely shot and Lynx had barely enough time to dodge those shoving passed her when she heard her name called out from over the crowd. She had barely been able to make that out over the yells, cries and spell casting, but she had and after a complete turn she spotted the voices' owner. She squinted her eyes trying to make out the words that she had said afterward with the arm movement, but to no avail and before she could ask for clarification or even begin moving towards her the Professor was gone. More or less out of frustration Lynx bit her lip and followed the blond Professor wishing she knew what the heck was going on, her stomach was twisting in knots. She knew enough to know that something bad was happening and action was required now...not later.
x▒ She couldn't even tell you when she had drawn her wand, but as they traveled -toward the train station she noted- Lynx was exceptionally glad that she had drawn it. She had stopped following the Charms professor to take up a defensive position and defend those trying to escape whilst holding off any and everyone who aimed a spell at her. It was chaotic and she could easily tell that this attack had to have been planned...on the enemies part. If the chaos was any indication it was that those being attacked had been caught off guard and because of that there were witches and wizards laying motionless on the ground. Lynx had just muttered Protego Totalum on a group of children when a stream of red flew passed her. Between the multiple battles going on she wasn't able to tell where it came from but she did spot two familiar Professors, surrounded and in possible need of help. "Go, run!" The children did what they were told and Lynx was able to give her full attention to the battle at hand.
x▒ She hadn't even the chance to turn back to her fellow co-workers. Something grazed her forearm and she twisted to defend herself before throwing up a Protego Lynx wasn't what she would call a bad dueler, she could manage on her own. She had even had the 'privilege' of seeing some of the dark curses used against people she knew. At the same time she was not an exceptional dealer either, she could get by and possible hold off a couple of people, literally just two, in a duel long enough to get herself out of trouble or even wait for more the arrive. But this was no ideal duel and if it wasn't for her split moment decisions she knew she would have been dead by now. She didn't know exactly who was friend or foe besides the two Professors she had spotted earlier, but she had no intention of dying here either. Her eye twitched, not but moments ago she had just returned to the wizarding world. A world she thought nothing but high of and here were people destroying that image she had of it. "Stupefy!!" She yelled catching one of the attackers of guard and nailing him.
