I succeeded, I briefly had Vintrict be Vice Captain against his will.

He noticed and quit sadly, so the prophecy is broken.

That's very thoughtful of you. I'm not in contact with him, but I'm sure he can see this or relevant parties will.

If someone is concerned of a hack, it'd be my advice that they set up 2-factor authentication and the annoying IP verification option for paranoia's sake. Also, don't re-use their Gaia password, since the DB is apparently plaintext and easily dumped.
