♠NOW ACCEPTING PROFILES

It’s officially June 25th and, for those of you who have been paying attention, you know what that means! It’s time to start sending me your profiles. Some of you already have and that’s perfectly fine! But, for those of you who haven’t, take a good look at the “Profiles” post on the front page of the In-Character Thread. Above the profile coding there will be instructions on how to send your profiles to me. PLEASE FOLLOW THOSE INSTRUCTIONS. It makes my life much easier and if you don’t, I will force you to keep resending the profile until you get it right. For those of you who have already sent your profiles it’s okay. I will not force you to resend the message as the instructions were not yet readily available to you and that would be unfair.

♠PROFILE REVIEW PROCESS

First thing you should be aware of is that I believe role-playing is a powerful form of artistic expression. I believe the effort we put into our role-playing is something worth improving upon. This fact goes for the entire process: interacting with the community, creating a character, role-playing as that character, etc. So when you send your profile to me I am GOING TO REVIEW IT. Whether the profile is acceptable as is or not, I’m going to tell you where you did well, where I think you can improve upon, and ask you questions about this or that. Why? Mostly because I like the one-on-one communication in all honesty. It also gives me an idea of what your plans are which, in turn, helps me modify and create plans for the role-play as a whole. So don’t expect to send in your profile and immediately get the profile posted as soon as I read it. I just can’t help it. You guys are amazing, I want to talk to you!

♠ROLE-PLAY OPENING DATE: JULY 6, 2012

I know you’re all very excited to get your profiles in and start exploring Avilion, but patience is a virtue. We’re not rushing into the role-play just yet so for those of us who have not finished their profiles yet, you still have time to get them in. The role-play does not officially open until July 6th so you guys have around 1 ½ weeks to finish your profiles and send them to me.

Also, if this schedule does not work for you (maybe you’ll be away the weekend of the 6th, I don’t know) then let me know so I can keep it in mind. This way, I know you haven’t dropped off the face of the earth or anything and that I’ll be seeing your profile(s)/posts soon.

Now, over the course of the next two weeks you will be seeing three character posts cropping up in the In-Character thread. The three posts will include:
ＴＨＥ ＬＥＡＤＥＲ ＯＦ ＴＨＥ ＲＥＶＯＬＵＴＩＯＮ,
ＴＨＥ ＫＩＮＧ ＯＦ ＡＶＩＬＩＯＮ,
and ＴＨＥ ＡＤＲＯＩＴ ＬＩＥＵＴＥＮＡＮＴ.
These posts will serve as an introduction to the role-play as well as setting up the first major scene of the role-play. The role-play is going to open up jumping right into the action with an attack by the Revolutionaries on the King’s Castle. These posts will allow you to plan out how your own introductory posts should go and will also help in keeping everyone from getting utterly confused. But until July 6th no other posts will be made besides these three introductory posts.

Ohmygod you're right! I approve of this.

Also I hope my Guild Caster is away from crazy Dragon man when he helps with the attack. She'd get fukis vibes and readings off of him, and she's not a fighter. Hopefully she'd be far enough away from him so she doesn't get bonked! Thank goodness there are other casters though 8D They can do all the dirty work. She has rooftops to hop to-and-fro from anyways *runs off*

Lip-reading. It's a skill one can learn quickly enough when it's your only form of communication. My father's deaf and he doesn't use sign-language. Granted, he has an implant that allows him to hear, but when it's off he can read lips well enough to understand what the other person is trying to say. The problem will be in battle, so Baldur will likely give him very direct orders to follow that won't be as likely to be affected by the rapid changes of a battle.

It would probably be useful to have Volos to be a part of a team so they can inform him what he needs to do and so on. He might wander off at times...Silleh Volos getting lost in order to hunt them mages.
