๑ There are a million and one ways to spend money and live outrageously, none of which the students at Story Art Academy want to live out. Story students want to live inexpensively, creating destructive art others won't understand- except the other students. They're not outcasts, but they're not popular. They don't create cliques, but they split off into groups. Free-spirited, imaginative, and lonely people gather at the school, and they usually end up finding out their niche in life by the end of their final year. A six-year school, the students usually are accepted if they did exceptionally well in the out-of-the-ordinary. Scouts travel the country in search of these teenagers and bring them back, recruiting the cream of the crop. The school itself isn't so much a school as a factory with scaffolding and fold-out walls, the stone hallways hiding in the darkness lit only by the dim fluorescence of art itself. Sometimes people wonder if the students here are even human. Maybe they're not. Every student has dark hair here.

๑ Then there's the other extremity: Piliscius Scott Preparatory for Boys and Girls. The higher-end, rich-kid school, the academically excelling are those who are accepted. This school is every parent's dream for their child, as it provides the launching place for the politicians-in-training, the conservative young Republicans of the world, the Global Accountants Youth. Uptight with rules, regulations, and restrictions, it's the typical boarding school, uniforms, ties, and unvarying leather bookbags. At first glance, one would never notice the students are being taught the laws of deceit, the secrets of cheating, and the finer points of lies. The school is seemingly ordinary, and the board of directors would like to keep it that way. A historical malady was the uncovering of an individual, the solitary escape and defection of a creative impulse. Robots, the outsiders call them, but never in public. The building is old, yet pristine. The typical boarding school, a school for spies, almost. Almost? That's a laugh. All the students here are blonde by nature.

๑ But that was several decades ago. The schools had been separated then, funded only by on-the-street earnings and short-lived promises for favours that were never upheld. The board of directors for Piliscius and the 'teachers' at Story at the time had decided to combine the schools to thus 'contribute more to the community' and 'better the city's futures.' In short, the schools were broke, and there was nothing they could do about it but train their chosen to the best of their abilities and send them out into the world, their spirits crushed or unwritten, and their minds warped or freed. Methods provided by the schools' previous administrators are no longer put in full force, fortunately for the students at the school, now Piliscius Story Academy for Boys and Girls. The splits between the students are obvious. The supposed 'SAA' students have finally formed cliques to protect themselves from the tight-lipped, a**l-retentive 'PSP' students, who have done the same. However, there are a few new students who obviously don't know how it works around these parts. This is where it all begins.

σσ1. L i t e r a c y ; ; As this is an semi-lit/adv.lit roleplay, I need everyone to at least have two paragraphs, and that's on an off day. Three paragraph minimums aren't that ridiculous, and that's what we expect here. Each paragraph should have at least five sentences unless it's dialogue- and we don't want one giant chunk of dialogue, either. Be reasonable, use your judgement to realize if your post has enough off of which the next RPer can work. Good grammar is also a must. Everybody makes mistakes, but DoNt TyP lYk DiS.

σσ2. P o s t s ; ; Post formats! They're necessary for the aesthetics of the roleplay. It makes it pretty. It doesn't need to be majourly decked-out, but at least make an effort. If you don't know how to make one, there are tons of people who do. Any pictures used should not eat up the entire post- please use common sense. The regular font colour should be black, and you should have a post colour that is individual for your character.

σσ3. F r e q u e n c y ; ; It shouldn't be difficult to write three paragraphs. You don't have to post every day, or even every other day- if you can find time twice a week to post, that's just what we're looking for. If you cannot post for an extended period of time, make a note in the OOC thread or PM Wendla Bergmann. If you are absent without leave for nine days or more, a notification will be sent to you. In the case of which you don't post within a week of receiving the warning, your character will be open again.

σσ4. P r o f i l e s ; ; Profiles should be PMed to Wendla Bergmann with the title "Georg's Piano." You may add colours and spacing to the profile, just don't go overboard. Nothing I can't read, no magenta or yellow, and nothing inappropriate. If a character is already taken, it goes without saying that I am not going to accept your profile. And if your profile is a little less meatier than we'd like, I may ask to see some RP samples. The profile code can be found in the profiles thread- just remember, do NOT post there. If you want to reserve a spot, just PM me or drop a message in the OOC.

σσ5. C o n t e n t ; ; You know the drill. Always follow the Gaia TOS (if you can't find it, it's in the footer at the bottom of every Gaia page) and keep everything PG-13. This applies to language, romance, and gore. Nobody likes "Joey shot Bill with an Uzi. 'Die, ******!' 'Bill died, oh ****!'" or anything of that sort. Cybering is not tolerated, same with godmoding.
