            CAMP HITOC

            Details
A reform camp maybe? Most of the kids are forced to come to a camp away from all technology. The only outside contact is a land line in the main cabin and it's strictly off limits to campers.

The set up of the camp could separate the lodging from the main camp--mess hall, counselor cabin, main cabin, activity cabin, and bonfire--by a lake in which the campers are required to boat across in the morning and afternoon. It's surrounded by thick woods with only a small dirt road that goes for two miles before it meets the main road. The lake is fed from a waterfall and river deep in the woods, and flows out to rapids before falling off the edge of a mountain.

We could have someone piss one of the circle members off and as an activity they get to go rafting, giving the witches the perfect opportunity to, you know, off the kid.

            Plot
There's stories of campers going missing, amnesia prone counselors, the camp doesn't have the best reputation among the actual campers. However the camp owner and parents of dead campers don't remember anything, so among the parents, they think it's the best place for their trouble making children. When in reality a Wiccan coven holds the ground sacred and it's considered tradition for the coven, and children of the coven to attend the camp. They practice dark magic including sacrifices, horrible accidents, trans-mutated animals and campers, the works!

The camp is considered a scared place of magic. Both for the Native Americans, because it's where their ancestors lay, and for the Wiccans because of it's natural alliance to the elements.

The reason behind the types of camps: the reason and motive being something else besides "I'm here to have fun".

                                                            Leaning towards:

                                                            "I'm here because...."
                                                            "I'm here for..."

                                                            "...to get myself away."
                                                            ...to straighten my act out."

Big Wolf

my vote is for one of those "tech free camps" where all technology is banned
out of phone service range, no internet, no electricity (or any way of connecting to outside world)
where campers are forced to live in the dark ages.

Witches are cool.
I don't see too many of those.
I don't look.

Going classic. Sacrifices. Drownings. Deaths.
Every year to stop something from doing something bad.
Missing campers.
Something always getting someone.
Missing camp counselors returning with amnesia.
Werewolves. Werebears.

They fish, hunt, and gather their own food.

Vicious Hunter

I'm a Californian so I'm suuper partial to swimming, camping, forests, tall trees, and bears galore. Maybe something bad happens like the campers are getting sick with a mysterious plague. Then the healthy ones have to constantly attempt to enter the woods to find the highway and get help?! I dunno~ maybe that's too complicated. I totally want them to go rapid river riding or something conoe based though. Maybe they're out to catch a giant Moby D1ck catfish with one eye?!

Blessed Cleric

            Yay :3
            You guys like the idea.
So what's the reason they're here?

            Sound good?

Invisible Exhibitionist

Yes. I got it. Zombie labor camp. The witches bewitch the campers to do things in their sleep. Randomly selected? Sometimes other campers wake up to see them do weird things. Like burning small effigies. Dolls made out of pine needles. It screams Goosebumps. But that's OK with me. If it's OK with you?!

Dreamcatchers. Frantically making dreamcatchers. Arts and crafts.

Vicious Hunter

Did you ever by chance watch the movie O Brother Where Art Thou? Where the sirens turn their friend into a "horny toad"? xD There should be rumors of naughty campers being turned into frogs and toads for a week but they'd have gone missing and when they come back they feel thrashed like they were on a long vision quest or nightmare as an amphibian!

Blessed Cleric

They can be randomly selected. Of course people will have to see things every so often. I never read the Goosebumps series, but I don't really care. I want the coven to be based very accurately on Wicca, but I want there to be a circle there too.

Dreamcatchers are perfectly fine...? It could be like a punishment for campers who break rules xD 20 dreamcatchers before nightfall.

Edit I love that movie :3
We can totally work that in~

Invisible Exhibitionist

"What happens if I don't finish?"

Vicious Hunter

Rrrrgh! Rrrbbt!

"This frog---has been following me around. I swear it looks like it's trying to communicate with me!"

Blessed Cleric

"THEN YOU DIE."

            Edit So many double posts...

"Look at the loser talking to the frog..."
So much ridicule for that kid..

Invisible Exhibitionist

"What? What are you trying to say to me?" Picks up frog and examines the creature, but drops it and decides it's crazy.

Missing camper returns. "I was a frog. I ate flies. I almost got eaten by a bird."

"The counselors said you were in the infirmary for eating a mushroom in the woods."

"Was I? Did I? Then how do you explain THIS?" Grabs and eats a bug.

"..."

Big Wolf

"...You ate another mushroom, didn't you?"

some sort of camp where parents send their kids to learn "life skills and build character", i suppose?

Blessed Cleric

That or troubled teens. That's up to you guys. I'm fine with either as long as I get to play a circle member.
I can't decide between spirit or earth...
