My ex was Russian... well two of them.

Anywho, yeah they where more fun when the had a shot.

But to give a brief history of her character she was born in Ukraine. Which in both muggle world and wizarding world has a corrupt government. Her mother was a healer, which is Ukraine, Russia and other countries that are still bullied by Russia is not a good profession due to is being socialized.
Anywho her father (a wizard)left Yulia's mother right after she was born. Like most Ukrainian women she felt she need a husband to support her. She ended up secuding a rich man from Moscow, who in sort was a douche and then left Yulia and her mother in Moscow.
Yulia takes alot of inspiration with the (muggle) Orange revolution in Ukraine and finds herself falling inlove with politcs and feels the muggle born wizards aren't getting there say and wants to bring to the attention to the corrupt gov in Eastern Europe.
Yulia the only one in her family that went to durmstang since her mother was muggle born.
Anywho I was thinking Yulia could be family friends with Alexsander's family or something. Maybe nieghbors or something
