Cosplay Arena Series Stats (Currently Week 10 (2016))

The statistics start from the first Arena Spotlight (week 47 of 2014) and
focuses on the frequency that a certain series places within the top 10.
There will be no direct links provided to entries and or weeks. If you wish
to check the info feel free to count yourself. All Disney characters will be
under the Disney Category. Marvel and DC will be labeled "Comics." Any
character that was linked to a mash-up game will be added to the original
series. Items based on toys will be under "toy." Art/Painting will go in as
"art." Real People will be labeled under "People".

The Un-written rules of arena

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
These are rules in which while not written on stated anywhere have a huge
impact on any avatar entry. If a rule is made for both arenas [O/C] will
appear just before the rule. Cosplay specific will be just [C] and Originals
[O] respectively. I might just order same category ones eventually near
each other. Reasoning behind the rule will be just below the rule.
These rules are gathered from various sources.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[O/C] Set Items are usually not welcomed-
----- It normally shows laziness in an avatar and is very un-creative. However, no one notices it and you hid it well, it may pass.

[O/C] Posting your rank publicly tends to work against you-
----- Posting your rank let's others see you as a potential threat, therefore making you a target of downvoting.

[O/C] Deleting negative comments that pinpoint flaws when you ask is redundant-
----- Ex: Person asks what is wrong with their entry. Then people keep mentioning the skin tone is wrong in comments but the person delete every single one is a waste of everyone's time.

[O/C] Respect your fellow arena goers-
----- Just don't be a rude. Be more objective then subjective.

[O/C] If you comment your negative rating give a reason why it is so-
----- It's rather un-professional to comment what you rated a person without giving a reason.

[O/C] If you can add a background and it fits add it-
----- It has been known to make or break an avatar especially the simpler ones. The more you can provide the better for most cases.

[O/C] Always make a description telling about your entry-
----- It can be just one sentence that tells people what your avatar is supposed to be. It's a space you can use and usually gives an avatar a sense of character.

[O/C] Never go up to an entry and just give a short compliment along with advertising your entry in the comments section-
----- This normally attracts negative attention because you are exposing yourself more to downvoters.

[O/C] The power of "Congrats"-
----- You don't have to congratulate all the time, but at least show some cordiality.

[O/C] Don't trash talk your own group in popular forums (EX: Chatterbox)-
----- People will downvote you just for hell of it or because they do not like how negative the person is that is talking about their friends etc.

[O/C] Be fair in your critique and give credit when credit is due-
----- If you really really wanna be a critiquer in the arenas or avatar arena thread, at least be a fair one and don't only give nice comments to your friends and favorite regs and be mean to everyone else.

[O/C] Don't just re-enter something you have won with without adding or heavily impacting what is currently there-
----- This can be seen as lazy by many.

[O] Always make a good title for the entry-
----- Titles that look like you didn't care to come up with something good will translate to the voter that they should not care about giving a good vote.
Ex: This is my entry, My op character, Vote and comment, Something I threw together etc...

[C] A ref Image is a must-
----- This allows for easier Identification of the character with a specific outfit. The rater shouldn't have to do much work in order to give a grade.

[C] A direct copying of a recently entered cosplay tends to heavily garner hate-
----- It tends to be seen as a disrespect to another users hard work in finding the right combo.

I know I saw the DNA tag done for 6 entries, but that was the raid that my buds and I decided to do for those two weeks we entered (Weeks 8 and 9 respectively)
That being said, the only time you'd probably see a DN Angel entry is most likely coming from me or friends of mine.
Otherwise, I don't see anyone else cosplaying from said series. sweatdrop

The other stats....here I thought that Pokemon and Sailor Moon would overtake LoZ.
I thought LoZ was gonna be in the top 10, but I didn't think it was the top of all of 'em.

Also I noticed that a few winners won without reference pictures.
Isn't it a staple where you HAVE to have a reference pic in order to "win" persay?
Because I know that a folks do become quite edgy if you don't have a ref.

I honestly though Sailor Moon would be on top and LoZ second.
DN Angel overall is never really done so I know it was a group~

Sometimes they place out of pure luck and I personally think Red images is always needed save for a few ultra rare occasions.
