criss thats absurd, but to be honest they're always forcing you different ways in high school. I had a friend who had a girl in his class who could draw amazing manga, but apparently it wasn't art. It's just teachers being assholes and you gotta ignore them until they give up on you

Just personally, I wouldn't want my students drawing manga or cartoons or whatever to begin with either, if I were a teacher. It's important to start by drawing from life. Once you get a good understanding of how the body works, /then/ you can move onto stylization.

But yeah, forcing someone into modern art is just dumb. o_O

@panda, Tch, i dont want to live in the US, just to visit. I love my england too much. =) I've already been to Los Angeles to go to universal studios! that was fun! Though i wish i had enough time to see the Warner brothers studios next door D=

@Yoru, yeah..he hates his forehead, and hes naturally blonde so he looks even more bald lol!

@battery, When i was at high school i was just getting away from manga and starting to do more realism style. I think they were just jealous because the teachers could not even draw a stick man. The teachers were just overpaid hippies <3

criss lol it's actually so pitiful it's funny when you get a teacher who can't draw. I remember we used to have a student teacher who couldn't spell so she kept saying "just testing you!" whenever we pointed out her mistakes. lol

@Battery, in my town..modern art is what sells, not realism so i couldnt get any kind of job in art at all.

is a lot nicer feature in a room...
