ooo000ooo that would rock, I wont be doing a degree though just an evening course and hopfully if my interview goes well I'll be getting a job in a 3D animation company doing monky office work but also getting trained and paid (woo for rent monehhhy!)
Have you done any animation before now? I try to work through one of the 3ds max 'bible' DIY books but I just end up falling asleep and dribbling on it ^^;;
EDIT] Didn't get the job crying
Aw, sorry you didn't get the job. ;_;
Well, I have Caligari Truespace 5, which is for modeling and animation. It's not as high-calibur as 3dsMax, but it's pretty powerful. The collegeI'll be attending teaches only in Maya... I keep trying to download Maya Personal Learning Edition, but no luck. I may just have to fork out the couple bucks to order the CD of it. =P
As for have I actually done any animation... pretty minimal. I don't really have the resources to do it in 2d.. and 3d modeling is pretty difficult.. not to mention the difficulty involved in rigging a model. For now, I'm just focusing on honing my drawing skills. Once I actually have teachers, and I'm not just teaching myself from whatever I can find, I'm sure things'll go well with the animation bit. Err.. I hope. sweatdrop
Right now I do monkey office work at a doctor's office. Any office is good for monkey work. mrgreen
Hope you can find somewhere good to work! ^.^
