I currently have a mouse/rat problem at home...... I'm scared....

I have an uncle that suggested that we get a cat.
Another one joked about getting a snake....... OTL

We have no pets because my dad's allergic...
BUT I'm so down for a cat right now! ;O CATCH THOSE THINGS!

Mouse are cute when they're pets, not when they're trying to go through your packaged food D:

A long time ago, I came across humane mouse traps made from every day items.
So, with a bit of research I found what I was looking for plus some.
The first is good for mice since they're small, the second could work with rats.
I hope these can inspire you to rid your home of pests.

So are we not doing a featured post on the front page like we did last year? :0
Probably no spotlight this year for a couple of reasons. It added workload for the mods (more than you might think, especially because there was a backend aspect that you guys never saw), it added clutter to the front page, and it was an opportunity to accidentally hurt people's feelings!

But the big reason is we are trying to streamline and reduce mod workload. Updating was 30-60 minutes of work per day on the LIGHT days, and could be multiple hours for multiple mods on the heavy days (early in the Event, Spirit Challenge days, etc). A lot of the changes this year are to save our sanity.

We might bring back the spotlight later, but for now it's cut. (I was wondering how long until someone said something. XD)

I haven't draw an OC of mine in years
heck it's been over a decade
and I've never drawn this one before
omfg I'm so nervous it's so nerve wracking putting the physical appearance of an OC down on paper cuz you're gonna hate yourself if it doesn't look right omg I just
*falls apart*
Oh, but I love that! It doesn't have to be set in stone, either, you can evolve and refine the character as time goes on. The first drawings of my OCs never look like their final versions, but it's all a part of growing.

You can get special, hypoallergenic cat breeds! They are so cool! But also expensive.

I'm sorry you have mice. sad I'll come visit you and bring a kitty along. XD

If I had the artistic talent, I would have drawn tons of my OCs. Unfortunately, I really don't have the patience for drawing.

It really sucks, too, because I'd love to get some art of some of them, but I've never bothered to try to find any reference images. I may do so with my 8-foot, four-armed mercenary soon, though...

I just want to eat you up and swallow you down

Watching the second video, my immediate thought was: "How to unattract them with this trap" because it just ran away rofl

I'm gonna go try to make one... I refuse to step into the kitchen right now because I think I found two there...... could be just one sneaky one, but I'm convinced there's two....... gonk

You can do what I'm doing and draw your OC every day by applying one or more of the themes to it. This way you can
get certain characteristics down, develop the personality by showing how they'd react to a certain situation, etc. If
there's anything you really like, jot down a note, if not, you know not to do it again.

Right now, that's what I'm doing with Dragon because I'm comfortable with her personality and character design, but I
intend to start working on my newer main OC Elza. The few pieces of art I've made of her I haven't exactly liked because
they don't embody her personality and how I imagine her. It's scary at first, but this event is a great starting point if
you want to follow the same route as me.

The first five days are grace periods!
So no worries, save that spirit pass for next time! heart

Thank you for letting us know!

Well, you have the string that keeps the trap open until the food it pulled. Carry the bottle vertical, take it outside far
away, set it down, then pull the string to lift the front end. The rodent runs out and away from you.

In highschool I had issues with mice. Found out later that they nested in the drawer with the utensils. But since we
used a plastic divider we never saw the nesting stuff. Imagine the sickness I felt when I opened the drawer one day
to find mouse turds among the silverware. *shudders and gags*

Comments: This is my OC, She's Human but her hair is made of water. When she's sad her hair rains. I though the theme would be perfect for her.
