Hi! I'm Fate. Like many people on Gaia I roleplay and have my own characters. However, I'm a bit of a roleplay snob in that I refuse to get pictures off of the internet for my characters. I make them from scratch and I would normally draw them myself. Once in a full moon a character comes into my mind that is too good for me to draw, a style I cannot mimic in one way or another. This is why I hold art contests.

It's pretty simple actually!!




You send me no less than 2 samples of your work. It has to contain a person, but other than that it doesn't matter what it is. Line art and sketches are welcome along with colour, but note that I do only want CG coloured art for the final piece.

I'll either approve or deny you based on your samples. If you're approved, you can start drawing!!

I love WIP's, I really do!! Send them to me whenever you wish. However I REQUIRE that you send me at least 1 WIP within a month of your signup just so that I know you're serious. Concept sketches, basic body outlines, whatever works as long as it's SOME sort of start.

When you're done, send your finished piece to me and I'll put it on the front page! Then we'll wait for the contest to end. When I have 10 entries, I'll give the 1 month announcement. 1 month from that day, the contest will end!!




] I am looking for a certain quality of art, I'm just going to say this, if your art is not at least as good as mine you will not be accepted. I'm not that great, so it's not a hard standard to meet. If you're not accepted it doesn't mean you suck, it just means that your art isn't the style i'm looking for. I'll tell you if you're accepted or not.

I know that not every artist is an RP'er. So rather than present you with a big shiny block of over lyrified text about what she looks like, I'm going to give you...BULLET POINTS!

★Her name is Chessie. She's five foot 2 and built along the lines of an average 14 year old, perhaps a bit more muscular. (She's actually 23 but you don't need to know that.)
★Her hair is black always in high pigtails that go all the way to her shins. It has pink and purple streaks all the way through it. It's held by normal ponytail holders, one pink and one purple. Her bangs look like This guy's The bangs are purple with BIG black streaks and LITTLE pink streaks, overall they should look good with her hair, not too much of a difference.
★Her eyes are a deep orange ringed with darker orange. The Pupils are slitted like a cat's. Her eyelashes are long and black.
★She's relatively tan, sun-kissed I suppose, from being outside a lot.

You can draw her in either the outfit described here, OR you can choose to put her in something else to try for the originality prize

★Her top is a pink spaghetti strap. It is not revealing in the least and it completely covers her navel as well. Over it she wears a black net top with long sleeves. CHESSIE NEVER WEARS REVEALING CLOTHES. Don't draw her with her naval showing or cleavage. She is too modest and practical for that.
★Her pants are not tight, but not loose either and sit on her hips. They're black vinyl, not super shiny but maybe a tiny bit. They have straps on them on her upper thigh that go from the middle of the back to the middle of the front. The top is velvet purple with a silver buckle and the bottom is velvet pink with a silver buckle. If you care for major details the stitching on her pants is pink.
★Her boots are black leather, they're under the pants so you'll only see the bottom of them. They have 4-5 inch heels, not stilleto. The boots are big and bulky looking like these

★She wears a cat collar that is purple and pink striped. Hanging from it is a cresent moon shaped ID tag. (both points of the moon face up, like a smile) On it reads simply "Mew"
★When she's not wearing her weapons she wears black leather wrist cuffs, one has a pink star on it and the other has a purple star. Opposite from the hair bands.
★Her ears are pierced 7 times. The bottome piercings are hanging crescent moons that match her collar. The rest are a combination of rings and studs, all in black.

Major brownie points if you include these. Okay if you don't.

★ They look like ThisBut the bottom part is black and doesn't look like skeleton bones. The part around her wrists are black with a pink buckle on one and a purple on the other. The blades are silver and they have the crescent moon carved into the tips.

Chelynn is Chessie's sister, there is a special category just for drawings of the two of them, so please feel free to try!

★Is 14, looks 14. Very similar in appearance to Chessie herself, almost twin like but an inch shorter.
★Always carries around a stuffed purple and pink striped cat.
★is very shy, usually very serious and only talks to her sister or the cat. Clings to Chessie a lot.
★Her hair is black in a low ponytail to her knees. All of her hair is completely black EXCEPT her bangs and the last few inches of her hair, which are pink with purple and black streaks.
★Her top is the exact same as Chessie's, except that it's purple instead of pink. The net shirt is still there.
★She wears a heavily pleated lolita style skirt with a purple underskirt. Then she wears fishnet stockings with boots just like Chessie's, only with shorter heels.
★She wears the wrist cuffs because she doesn't have a weapon.
★Her collar is the same but the points of the moon face down. (like a frown)
★She has her ears pierced 3 times. The bottom is a dangly moon that matches her collar. The top is only a cuff, not a true piercing, and the middle is a black ring.

Hmm, well Twilight, I'd assume if Fate invited you after seeing your art somewhere, then she already knows your style, so any further examples would be redundent. *laughs* But I suppose it does not hurt to ask...I don't want to step on her cute little toes; but I'm petty sure you don't need an example.
