Thankyou for making this thread!

I'm planning on entering the arenas in a few weeks once I've got the gold for one last item and it would have sucked to fall at the reference-picture hurdle!

(Well, maybe. I don't know if the character is well known enough sweatdrop )

Haha not a problem ^^ Good luck!

I really think you should encourage people to resave images and upload on their own server, tinypic if they don't have a photobucket
instead of encouraging people to hotlink images. Hotlinking is really discouraged and shamed upon on most image sites

I've gone through this with another user, I'm not encouraging either way, I'm showing all options because I'm sick of the excuse that they couldn't get them to work. I've been planning on updating this thread, but I have been REALLY busy in real life, so I haven't been able to get around to it.

Toxic Transmutator

It's a good idea smile , but I also see the same problem as Zelthane.
It's alright if you upload an image on your own webspace, but once you link it from webspace that doesn't belong to you, it means that you're stealing someone else's bandwidth...
Okay, so some small pic might not hurt the page's owner too much, but how about the case they look into the webpage's log, see you stealing, and they don't like it? They can easily exchange the picture for another - you know, delete the old one, upload a new one with the same name. And the possibilities what might be uploaded are endless - something like "don't steal", some x-rated porn pic, or any other kind of rude picture that might get you banned.
So there really is a certain risk there, which you should at least mention. And I'm not even starting about how stealing isn't okay (and yes, using other people's bandwidth is stealing).

This has been brought to my attention already.

I'm aware of this, since when you change something about your own link with image hosting websites, like Photobucket, it affects where ever you used the image.

Noted. Again, once I get the time to sit down and make the changes needed, I will. I will add this as a sort of disclaimer type thing or something

For the first time, I want to use a rotating image reference. I'm really confused by what is out there! Do you have any suggestions of sites that are free, easy to use and don't require me to upload the coding to a host website?

Kind of like a slideshow. One picture is present for a brief time and then it is replaced by another picture.

Oh!
I personally use this place. You'll have to upload the final image to another site. I didn't and it broke. Tinypic.com is good 'cause you don't need an account. Just right click the image and hit "copy image URL", and follow the instructions in the tinypic area.

If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask ^^

Thank you very much! I was starting to feel frazzled trying to figure out what to use.
