Writing a Wonderland AU. What would you like to see?

So I'm writing a semi-original wonderland story, and each character will have distinct personalities. I have some of the characters created in my mind, but what kind of characters would you like to see? What about plot lines or story arches you'd enjoy?
(also, this story has Alice with the White Rabbit, but it's not at all like the Disney or most other versions. Think Alice in the Country of Hearts.)
