• Across the ocean by air I fly
A tickle in my tummy ascending high

We wait long hours for land to come
Waiting for Spain is too troublesome

I am eager to see my mom’s family
The land that they reside so happily

I am eager for the food I would eat
The sweats to good to compete

The candy booths and walk in the parks
    Friendly faces and historical trademarks

    Overly estatic my grandma is
Questioned on chores like a quiz

    Grandpas relaxed and serene
Sits on the couch and acts like a queen

    Together they are perfect company
Couples a lot better than many

    All of my boy cousins
Worse than “Cheaper by the dozen”

    Watch out, it’ll break!
    The usual, woops his mistake

    Inside and outside we play
    Catch the ball every day

To stay is what they want
But off they go with my aunt

    Time for the afternoon nap
    I’d rather watch tree sap

    I wait for six o’clock
The usual time to take a walk

Up, down, along the roads and streets
Calm the kids with lots of sweats

Now go to bed back at home
There is no time for you to roam

Says my grandma late at night
And so I do with much delight

Because I know tomorrows another day
For good things to come I pray
