• The children come at 8:45,
    They come to the museum.
I also come at quarter till nine-
but I don't want to see 'em.

The children scream and laugh and play.
They want me to join in.
I tell them I'm not there for them-
    With the smirkiest of grins.

But then I see their happy faces
    Quickly fade away.
They start to pout and milk it out-
    I've just ruined their day.

So even though I want to chill
    With friends in hidy places,
I've learned to scream and laugh and play-
    I like the happy faces.
