• No one really knows who to truly rely on in this vast world. Some people dont believe in seeing the bad quailities in people, only the good. And others, dont trust at all. Not even given the person a chance to prove their worth of being called a friend. I WAS one of those people who thought everyone had only good quailities. I was to naive to think that no one could be that cold hearted to stab me in the back when I needed them most. Well I was wrong...completely wrong. Its sad to even think that someone could do that to you when you didnt deserve it. Its even sadder when two people do it to you.

The one you thought was your best friend and your first love. It makes me sick to my stomach to even think of it to this very day. It didnt happen that long ago and its still brings me painful memories. The emotions that played through me. The anger of the betrayal that I felt, the sadness of what was said, and the lonliness of being hated by the two people I cared about and the ones I trusted the most.

It all started when my best friend, Alex and her friend, Mark were talking after third period right before lunch. I approached them, smiling as I also saw my boyfriend, Jason coming from the opposite direction. But, when I got closer I noticed Mark looked up to see me, looking angry. I stopped, loosing my smile as he quickly placed his glare to Alex. He said something to her, she spotted me, and he placed his hand on her shoulder and walked off towards Jason's direction. I stood still, afraid of what I've might of done. Alex called to me as I came back into reality.
"Whats the matter? You look kind of pale." Alex asked, concern in her voice.
"Is Mark mad at me or something?" I asked without hesitating, my voice a whisper as if I was afraid he was near.
I saw something cross her face, but just a second as she quickly went into a smile.

"Why would he be mad at you?" I smiled alittle, relief he wasnt mad at me but I still had small doubt. Jason approached us. I hugged him as he kissed my forehead. He was always so gentle to me.
"Are you okay Amber? You seem awfully quiet." I laughed as I gave him my usual kiss on the cheek.
"Im fine Jason. Really." Jason smiled softly as we started walking to lunch, his hand with mine.
We reached the lunch room, packed as normal as Jason patted my back. "Hey Amber, can you buy me a soda for me? I need to talk to Alex for a minute." He gave me a dollar as I nod but felt a knot in my stomach. "Okay...I'll see you two inside then." I headed through the door and into the crowded caferitera. I spotted Kelly seating down at our usual table as I greeted her. She smiled and got up to give me a hug.
"Where are Alex and Jason?" She asked as I pointed outside. "Outside talking. I'm buying Jason a soda." Her smile faded as I asked automatically, "Whats wrong?"
She shook her head hastly as I saw sweat come down her face.
    "Kelly, whats wrong?"
"Are you happy with Jason, Amber?" She asked as I was shocked with the question. "Of...Of course I am Kelly. Why do you ask...?"
"N...Nothing. I'll call you tonight. I got to go."
