• “Once upon a time there lived a princess.”

Yamanaka Ino sat on her purple sheeted bed.

“And there also lived a young knight, who fancied the princess.”

Nara Shikamaru lay underneath his favorite tree in the leaf village.

“But the princess never noticed him and all ways looked to a different prince. He stole all her affection.”

His brown orbs traced the cloud lined sky.

“This Prince loved so much by the princess. Left the kingdom, with no thought of the princess.”

Tears poured down her cheeks. She pulled the pictures that were currently spread eagle on the dark purple sheets.

“After the prince left the princess wept and wept for his return. But from these tears there came nothing.”

She hugged the photos of her and her former friend Sakura. Her team photo, Choji Shikamaru and Azuma. She and all her best friends, Tenten, Hinata and even Sakura had appeared in the picture.

    “The knight, Comforted the princess.”

The lazy ninja had left his cloud gazing to walk down the streets. Not knowing where his feet were taking him.

“Soon, the Princess began to notice the knight differently.”

“More than a friend or some one that is there to protect her.”

Shikamaru’s feet stopped right in front of the Yamanaka’s house. He lazily looked up to Ino’s window which was open. He could hear faint sobs. Quickly and quietly he nimbly jumped up to sit on the roof of the house.

    He hopped in the window.

    “Ino…”

The blond girl looked up. With her tear running down her face.

    “Shikamaru.” She mumbled.

“Leave the past and live the future, He had once told her.”

    “Gosh Ino. You’re troublesome.”

    “How SO.” She hiccupped.

“You’re blind.” He retorted. Lowering his gaze.

“No. I’m not Shika-kun.” She whipped her eyes. And stood up.

“I was reading this book.” She grabbed the book and flipped through the pages.

“A Fairy Tale book.” He mumbled.

    She began to read aloud.

“She began to notice. She loved him, and she wanted to pour all her pain into him, He was like a tranquilizer to her.”

“Because. She knew we would let her pour his pain in to him. Because He loved her.”

She tossed the book and fell in to his arms and full out sobbed.

“And they lived happily ever after.” He muttered into her blond shiny hair.
