Hmm, I can't really be help from what I've already said. Never hears of that TV brand, and if it also happens to have a built-in VHS player makes me think it's standard definition. I also can't remember what definition the Wii games show up in, but I wouldn't be surprised it's borderline High Def.

I do know that PS3 games have High-Def resolutions. My other suggestion is that the cable that gives you 'color' happens to be bad. Hopefully you get more help in your topic, but I can't shake this feeling that it might be the TV. sweatdrop

Just saw your topic concerning Drakengard 3, at first I thought just from the topic title is was going to be a racial issue. lol It's been a good long while since I've used R/W/Y cables. My only question is how old is the TV, does it still happen to only put out Standard Definition or is it a High-Def Television? If the issue is that it's Standard-Def and you have to make the game playabable via the R/W/Y cables and the scart plug that might be the reason why. Unless those cables are what came with your PS3 or if they were just left over from something else. Since you should have a pair of A/V cables. Neverthless, I hope with your current set-up you can get it to work. If not, you might have to take the plunge for a 'newer' TV that accepts the different cables if yours doesn't already.

It should be self-explanatory when you start from scratch and when you get the system. At the start up, it will ask you to create an account for the system which is nothing like your PSN account. After you've created it, it'll have you go over to the PSN logo and click on it. Where it will then have you log in and sign up on your account. You just follow the steps in that website I linked you and then sign in on your PSN account that you've used previously on another system. Then re-download whatever is compatible for the PS3. I'm sure there's some way you can transfer the save files but I don't really know. Maybe, via the Memory Stick from your PSP into your Computer and then transfer the files onto a USB or whatever's compatible with the PS3 as well? Just a thought, but I'm not quite that knowledgeable in that area since I've never needed to do it.

Having to start all over would suck. Especially if it meant you put hours and hours into an RPG or a very long game. The PS3 doesn't have a memory card slot but it allows you to make a virtual PS1 and PS2 memory card with a set memory limit. Which is where this support page comes in handy. As long as you can get your old PSN account to work on your PS3 that 'technically' becomes a possibility. If I've been able to do it, then you should have no problems. Although if you need more help I'm here even though I'm sticking with mostly PM's and Profile Comments since the VGD is crap now. I'm sure that you can also find tutorial and help videos on YouTube as long as you know what you're looking for. Anyways, I'm off to bed it's 5:41 AM here in the states. So I'll see you later.

Ah, that's all fine and dandy. PlayStation Plus is just a suggestion and does happen to give out good quality and quantity in games. It's all what you're interested in though but I do suggest it if only for the extra sales it'll give. PS+ games are technically free and so will Games With Gold on the Xbox One as well. Since Microsoft has switched the fine print since they did a revision the Xbox One without the Kinect. All I can do is suggest PS+ It's in no way, shape or form a bad service but you don't need to get it now you can always go for it later on.

As for Drakengard 3 and DLC. You can actually set up a secondary account to take advantage of that regions DLC. That however means you'll also need that regions currency, so it can also be a hassle. It's still an option nevertheless. If you want to go digital that is your choice and I won't stop you. I prefer physical for most of my games, mainly because I like the freedom it comes with and I don't like being tied down by 'DRM'. After all you're only being sold a license and no hope that'll you'll ever receive a refund thanks to the fine print. Plus, you don't want to use up all 500GB or what it allows you to play with since some of it goes to the system and priorities from the get-go. I just know that some PS3 titles digitally can take up quite a bit of room and that's when it's better to go physical.

You can use your same PSN account from your PSP on all of Sony's systems. PS Vita, PSP, PS3 and PS4. At the start up, it will ask you to create an account for the system which is nothing like your PSN account. After you've created it, it'll have you go over to the PSN logo and click on it. Where it will then have you log in and sign up on your account. The PS3 allows you to have up to 64 PSN accounts. The only problem is the secondary one can't collect trophies from what I've learned. I also have no idea if your downloaded games carry over when you switch to a different 'system' account. (Again separate from your PSN). You'll also be able to download whatever PS1, PS2 and PS3 titles you've purchased in the past and future. As long as you don't go over the set limit that they give you which can only be found in the fine print. This website should get the point across better.

And depending on the game where the PS3 can only play PS1, PS2 and PS3 titles digitally you're allowed up to infinite downloads onto '2' systems. Whether it be associated with that system or not. I know that PS1 titles can go on both the console and a portable system. Furthermore, Sony got rid of the physical backwards compatibility on PS2 titles, but you've still got the ability to use all PS1 physical games on the system. While all of Sony's recent systems are region free the developer can still do their own region lock. Which would only be because they don't want one region to get more sales than the other. Which is understandable up to a point, as long as it means that region is getting that specific game as well. Like Europe not getting a copy of Rune Factory 4 because of the region lock on their system. I really don't see the point in a total region lock when developers/publishers can do individual locks on their games.

Just saw you in that Drakengard 3 thread talking about the PS3 that you'll hopefully have soon. As for that laser and overheating issues those haven't happened in awhile. The last issue for the laser I found via Google was in 2008 on the PlayStation forums. I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but seeing how Sony has become better with each generation of PS3 the chance of it is pretty slim. (No pun intended). The Slim is also supposed to the best out of the bunch though, so I wouldn't worry too much. I purchased my 320GB PS3 used and it was only used for 5-6 months by the seller as a DVD machine and It still works like a charm. I've also played it during the night and sometimes during the day for 4 hours straight and I've still had no issues. If you also plan on getting a PS+ subscription you can also set your PS3 to automatically install and download patches, updates and games during at the time you've set. Another good thing about the PS3 is that it happens to be region free, which means you can import a game from whatever region and play it. So you'll really never have to settle just going digital. Unless you can't afford the import fees etc. Even then I'm sure there's tons of different sites with varying prices. This region free also carries over to the PS4 and the PS Vita.
