Hello! It's me, that one girl that you taught more about how to be a leader in a crew. smile Anyway, I checked out your site and listened to roughly 5-10 minutes of each episode. As a fellow lover of music (in general, there are few genres I don't like. Though, thank you for introducing me to these genres, I quite enjoyed them) and in appreciation for your help on zOMG, I just wanted to give you a bit of critique. I can see what you're doing with the various instruments and using them more as percussion and rhythm (especially in the first 3 episodes), but it makes me as a listener feel a little bored because it became predictable to me. In Episode 3, I liked how you were using rests and silences as a way to make the listener be held in suspense, but I felt that maybe it was used a little too much. Or rather, I felt like you didn't build up to it enough. I'm not sure if you've heard of the movie "Hackers" but if you look on Youtube, find the soundtrack "Cowgirl" which has a similar use of rests. Though it's not quite as silent as yours in those rest areas, the artist builds up the tension before letting it go for a beat and bringing it back. I really liked the first 13 minutes of Episode 4 and then I got bored again. I'm not entirely sure why. Maybe it's because of how the first 3 tracks were complex in melody and harmony and really captured my attention but then it fell back to simply being rhythmic. While I'm new to this genre of EBM, Industrial, and Space Age Pop, I looked up some videos and music online to confirm my suspicions. I'd listen to Eisenfunk's Pong and be engaged the whole 4-5 minutes and feel that I'd get bored in the first minute of Episode 2. I figured it was something to do with the background melodies and harmonies that were not only rhythmic, but created tension between the main melody and supporting instruments. Anyway, this is getting long. I hope I haven't given you unwarranted feedback, please let me know if I'm bothering you. Thanks again for all your advice! I really had a lot of fun playing with you.
I love the kandi in your sig pic. Also very cool sign idea is all I think about when I see it. Just saying P.L.U.R to another fellow raver. I'm a kandi kid and I would guess you're more into the cyber goth part of it?
