BA Character

Username :: Yoshimi_Kitten

Character Name :: Bastet - [Meaning]: Egyptian myth name for the "Cat-Headed Goddess", Originally a sun goddess depicted as a lion, who defended the pharoah and consequently inherited the title of "Lady of Flame" and "Eye of Ra"

Age :: 27

Gender :: Female

Weapon :: Youtou: Angoku Dama- Yari Tanto Dagger, also known as the "Jade of the Abyss" A tantō is a common Japanese single or, occasionally, double edged knife or dagger with a blade length between 15 and 30 cm (6-12 inches). The tantō differs from the others as it was designed primarily as a stabbing instrument, but the edge can be used to slash as well. Tantō are generally forged in hira-zukuri, meaning that their sides have no ridge line and are nearly flat, unlike the shinogi-zukuri structure of a katana. Some tantō have particularly thick cross-sections for armor-piercing duty, and are called 'yoroidoshi'. Yari Tantō: Japanese spearheads were often altered so that it became possible to mount them as tantō. Yari tantō were carried by women for self-defense, and by samurai to pierce armor. Unlike most blades, yari tantō had triangular cross-sections.

Race :: Human

Fighting Style :: Aikido: Aikido is the most purely defensive style in existence today, having no offensive punching or kicking techniques. It is a style in which the practitioner uses circles of force to turn his opponent’s momentum back on him. Known for its flashy throws, Aikido also has a very strong ground in joint locks and immobilization techniques.

Magic :: Necromancy: (Greek νεκρομαντία, nekromantía) is a form of divination in which the practitioner seeks to summon "operative spirits" or "spirits of divination", for multiple reasons, from spiritual protection to wisdom. The word necromancy derives from the Greek νεκρός (nekrós), "dead", and μαντεία (manteía), "divination Early necromancy is likely related to shamanism, which calls upon spirits such as the ghosts of ancestors. Classical necromancers addressed the dead in "a mixture of high-pitch squeaking and low droning", comparable to the trance-state mutterings of shamans. Bastet may use this power of divination to conjur that which haunts her opponents and looms in their darkest fears. The incantation must be screwn in her blood and holds no physical being. It is a defensive magic that can create morbid illusion. The skill itself is named The Funeral of Ra

History :: Born within a Hanamachi by her mother, whom had fallen in love with an Egyptian archeologist, Bastet was stripped away from the prized geisha and left to die in a stream along Osaka. A poor farmer had been cleaning reeds when he stumbled upon her bundled form. Hypothermic he quickly called for his wife and within a week they had inherited a beautiful girl. Keeping her origin a secret, Bastet was raised as a normal Japanese child, plenty of days spent flying kites and listening to the elder of the village. Upon her tenth birthday she had returned to the village finding it was engulfed in flames. As best as she could she was not able to save her parents and their lives were lost in the fire. With no guardians she was left to fend for herself, months had passed as she had grown into a wild soul. Thievery had been her ability and she had perfected it. When upon her fifteenth winter Bastet was cornered by several soldiers wence, she truly felt the weight of fear. Knowing her life was ending she could only wince her tears away before suddenly she was lifted up by a pair of strong arms. Thrown over a shoulder she fought and kicked until she was tossed into a cart. Her gaze had fallen upon her future master, Hitsuyo Namaki. A warrior and soldier of fedual Japan in the past, Hitsuyo lived his days as a tailor now. For several years Bastet was trained under his skills of assassination. She made a vow to uncover the truths of her past and reclaim the life that was stolen.
