Too many people regard plants as disposable ornaments rather than living things to be cared for and treasured. It saddens me when they change out the plants in the parks and whatnot around here, still-blooming annuals for the most part just tossed into the trash, and I don't think they save the spring bulbs when they're done flowering even though they can live for decades.

Oh yeah, I just went out and picked 20 tomatoes from my three slicers, so I'll retract the remark about being disappointed.

Aww, that sucks. I hate moving. Did you do so by choice?

My last experience with an aloe was depressing. I rescued it when one of my fave restaurants closed down, and not having much light inside I put it on the windowsill, but it got cold and...I guess they must have brought it inside when the weather was bad. My mother-in-law was great with aloes, but she had such a green thumb she could prolly have made a stick bloom.
