Howdy!
Why I'm here: Gaia is fun. I enjoy games, the variety of ways to interact with fellow Gaians, and playing in the Marketplace (the pre-2% tax Marketplace, that is). Where else online can you find huge water balloon fights and all the other cool special events like there are here? That's right. Nowhere else.
The story behind my name: My name is Will, and in real life I have auburn hair and enjoyed reading tales of Robin Hood as I was growing up.
What I'm like in real life: I probably come off more reserved and "proper" than I do online. It's not that I'm wild and crazy here and boring there, but people just think I'm more serious IRL.
My favorite seasons: There are things I like about all the seasons, and some things I dislike about them, too. Summer is probably my all-around favorite (unless it's over 100F). Spring is really nice, but my allergies don't let me enjoy it. Winter is kind of gloomy and cold, and cold without snow is not much fun (and snow is nice to visit, but I am glad I don't live near any). Autumn is always special because it reminds me of pleasant smells, good food, and my birthday. I guess summer is my favorite season, but Christmastime is my favorite holiday season.
My interest in other cultures: I've only left the USA for a day-trip to Tijuana, Mexico. I wanted to go on a foreign exchange the summer after I graduated from high school, but it didn't work out. However, I'm utterly fascinated by other countries and cultures. If money and time were not so limited, I'd be a constant traveler. That not being the case, I content myself with talking to people all over the world online (and the people in other countries who handle technical support calls when I'm on the phone with them). I keep finding more places that I want to visit when the time and money thing works out.
Infrequent visitor: I've got a job that leaves me very little time to visit Gaia anymore. Sorry.
