I'm currently engaged to my awesome fiancé, Master Kanis. We're working on the visa process and we applied for my K-1 in March 2009--we're hoping for me to be moved down by Christmas 2009, but you know how the US government is. Slooooooooooooow. >.<

All I want in life right now is to be able to move home, to Texas, and start my life with my love.

I know what Satanists are, no worries. smile I've been Wiccan since I was 16, and my friend isn't particularly religious, but believes in a God. That website is wonderful! I'm definitely bookmarking it...even if I don't get the jewelry (it's lovely, and I adore things made with moonstones) those sympathy cards are really nice. smile

I helped her find cremation pendants online...she loves butterflies, and we found one that essentially is a butterfly that she can keep a bit of her baby's ashes into. And yes, my friend is Christian...I'm not, but I'm always one for acceptance of all religions wink so I'll take a look at that site. I'm pretty sure that her husband will get the footprint tattooed somewhere on his body...his brother does tattoos and seeing is this was going to be their first child it's pretty huge for them. *clicks link* I also made a ten dollar donation to March of Dimes in honor of her son. It says they'll mail a card to her address...I'm not sure how long that will take seeing as I've never donated to them before, but I wanted to keep that as a surprise too...I know it's not a huge amount, but I hope she'll like it. Thanks for your help!

Well, it's comforting to know there are intelligent people out there on Gaia that not only think of future children but also all those options that go along with having a child. And yeah...I get what you mean about parents being part of your identity...one of my good friends actually lost her baby today...termination due to medical reasons at 20 weeks. So basically, because there were complications that pointed to the fact that the child wouldn't live, in the best interest of the child that's what they had to do...and it's sad. She says though, her only comfort is that she will forever now be considered someone's mommy. Good luck on your visa and your engagement. smile

I just wanted to say how much I love you. Lol! I know it sounds strange, but your well-written and thought out advice against teen pregnancy with lots of statistics makes me happy and have faith in people. Lol.
