Hey. I am Vorn. I am a metal head who was born and raised in the south. I was born in Texas and am damn proud of it. There is no better state. That being said,. I am stuck in Pennsylvania for the time being. It pretty much sucks here. Someone take me back out of here
Anyway, like I said, I am a huge metal head. I live and breathe heavy metal. I also love classic rock and some industrial as well.My favorite bands include, but are not limited to Metallica, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, ACDC, Emperor, Opeth, Celtic Frost, Bathory, Mayhem, ect. ect. ect. The list goes on and on. My favorite genre of metal is probably thrash metal. I absolutely love a good thrash metal. Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Exodus, Death Angel, Kreator, Dark Angel, Voivod, Vio-lence. So on and so forth.
I am a a hardcore gamer and have been for more than 10 years now. Aside from music, I also live for video games. It is my hope to some day become a game developer. My ultimate dream is to own a game development company. I would love to write and direct my own games. You have to climb that ladder, though. I am looking forward to it.
I am a bit of a movie buff, as well. I enjoy a good movie, b flick or otherwise. My favorite directors include Stanley Kubrick, John Carpenter, Quinten Tarantino and Kevin Smith. I am also a huge fan of Godzilla films. They are generally either a lot of fun to watch or funny because they are so bad. Some of my favorite movies include The Wall, Dr Strangelove, The Shining, Big Trouble in Little China, the Japanese version of Godzilla, The Godfather trilogy, Alien, Halloween, The Thing, the original Star Wars trilogy, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Clerks. Directing a movie is another dream of mine. I would love to do a Godzilla movie some day. That would be a dream come true for me.
I like t o read as well. I tend to read for a bit each night before I lay down to go to sleep. It helps me relax. I love the works of Tolkien, Simon R Green and George RR Martin, as a few examples. I love good science fiction and fantasy novels, as you might have guessed. Simon R Green's Deathstalker series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George RR Martin and the Lord of the Rings series as well as The Hobbit are some of my favorite books of all time.
Aside from the major interests listed above, I also enjoy hockey (Go Dallas Stars) and baseball (Go Atlanta Braves and Texas Rangers). I am something of an audio and videophile as well. I love playing with sound systems and video equipment. (HD TVs are the greatest invention ever - lol), and have something of an obsession with getting my video and sound to look and sound as good as I possibly can get it to.
