About

Temporary profile change until I find something better. Previously known as Forgotten_Nightmare or simply "Night." Call me Visu since that's what a lot of people call me anyway.

I'll keep this brief since I don't usually like to write about myself and you probably don't want to read entire blocks of text; I know I sure don't. I hail from the land where palm trees sway, but have lived in Southern California for the past six or so years while attending college. I'm 25 now, holy s**t. My only consolation is that I graduated and finally crawled out of this hellhole called college. Thank god it's over.

I can usually be found messing around in the Word Games forum or stalking artists in the Art Freebies. That's about it for me, but feel free to drop by and leave a comment if you'd like to get to know me better.

Don't randomly friend request me if I don't know who the hell you are; I need to at least have spoken to you at one point or another. If you're from the WG, I'm more likely to accept if I've seen you around enough, but again, don't hesitate to drop a comment or something first. I'm always down to talk to you guys~

You're awesome if you know who JYB is.

I hope you're feeling better, or at the very least I'm glad you're well enough to be online. I've had two colds this year. They were within a month of each other and it was awful, so I sympathize with you.

Wizard's First Rule was a great start to the entire series. I also found it a little slow to take off, but the character development was totally there and very inspirational. Kahlan is pretty impressive, huh? I think all of the major characters are impressive. I like Verna. I think she's funny.

That's a good friend you have. I, too, have loaned out my books before. Hooked a few people, made new friends, inspired deeper understanding; so all's good.

Yessss, Nicci. You'll have either hate or some sort of ambiguous distrust of her for starters, but then you'll learn to like her, especially once she changes for the better (hope I'm not spoiling too much!).

I've heard of Discord, but I haven't looked into yet and I use Skype for Business at work, so no personal stuff. As long as there isn't a download involved, I can probably do Discord....yes, on my phone. Discord - Chat for Gamers, yes?

Faith of the Fallen is definitely one of the best books in the first half of the series, in my opinion, right behind Temple of the Winds. It's hard for me to put it to words because Terry is a far better writer than I. The relationship between Nicci and Richard changes drastically. I remember taking a picture of one of the pages when I was younger and had first picked up the books. That's when I learned the word 'anathema' and committed myself to learn more. That was roughly ten years ago though. I still adore the books to this day. I'm grateful to my mom for leaving them to me. I've since expanded, thus why I own all of them - in hard back because I can't stand e-books. There's no smell.

Anyway, seeing how I got off track...Faith of the Fallen is beautiful. If you're one for comparing real life to stories, then you'll make all sorts of connections - historic and current. With the horde in the New World and Kahlan separated from Richard who was taken to the Old World by Nicci (and I mean 'taken' lightly. Had to go of his own free will or Nicci would kill Kahlan through the link of the maternity spell and that's no bueno). In the end, Richard opens Nicci's eyes, removing the shackles put on them long ago by her mother and the teachings of the Old World. That is what I find most impressive and touching about this story. You even learn more about Nicci and hate her significantly less at the end.

Hey there, i'm a bit late getting back on but thanks for the compliment! I am glad someone likes my avy and recognizes the overall theme. Yes, you should give Blazblue more loves- I should too really, it has been a good while since I played Centralfiction. (I considered myself retired in the fighting game community but now that Jubei is here...)

I agree, it's refreshing how delightfully human the characters are. I love learning the lore in the series. But, it does get repetitive when he starts a new book. ItIt's understandable why he doess that, though. There were a few spots where I had to put the book down. Especially when Kahlan and Chandalen went through Galea after the massacre. I couldn't pick it back up for a few weeks. But the little happy moments make up for the tragedies.

I understand why it was, though. The writers changed a lot of stuff for the show. A lot of the book readers were upset because of it. Darken Rahl and Richard were brothers, not father and son. Rachel was only in the Tamarang episode. They didn't have Scarlet or Gratch in it Those are only a few changes that they made.

My parents and I watched Legend of the Seeker on abc. That's what got my Mom into the books. She has all of them execpt Death's Mistress. My job requires a lot of traveling, so she's letting me borrow them to read on the company van.

How about you?

Does it run badly on PS4? I heard that frame drops are a thing. ;x

I've heard of it, but I don't think I've ever watched gameplay?

Cara and Berdine. Love how sarcastic they are, and how they're slowly regaining a semi normal life after becoming Mord Sith. The part where Cara talked about Raina and Berdine feeding chipmunks in The Temple of the Winds was my favorite.

I also want to get FF15. I know that it's just been announced for PC, so I'm tempted to get it for that instead of PS4.

Only "eh" thing is that it'll take up a massive 170GB of space. There's no way I'll be installing it on my SSD if that's the case. sweatdrop
