Ah. We pretty much used the metro buses to get to where we needed to go from the high school to the community college. There was another school that was right across from the high school though but it's one of those alternative/Summit schools that has grades K-12. We never had contact with people over there or anything XP
Most people had 1 or 2 classes to take at the high school (so they had to return to campus before/after classes at the community college) but very few people, like myself, exclusively went to the community college. So I pretty much had a lot of time on my hands... such as RPing at OBJ back in the day XD
Sounds about right. I never did both high school and community college. I just went with community college and only appeared in high school when I had to... Namely for when I had to be in homeroom.
Also, lame on how they treated the Russian "class" :/ Russian really is a fun language, but so is learning the culture and history.
Well I live in a big city so there's lots of different languages you could learn... Well, not at the high school I went to. At first they only taught French, Spanish, and Japanese but then they dropped French because not enough people were taking it. But most people ended up doing Running Start and learned more languages at the community college (that's where I first learned Russian). I actually managed to learn about 100 Kanji but I forgot most of them.... and there's still a lot more to learn.
Back in high school, yeah. But since it has been so long ago I can't actually hold a conversation with someone. If I had practice it might come back to me though. It's fun although since taking Russian I learned that Russian is way harder due to the grammar. As far as Japanese goes the hard part is learning the alphabet, particularly kanji (Chinese writing).
