Things I like:
-Cats and dogs alike
-A well-written book
-
Queen, particularly
Hammer To Fall and
It\'s A Kind Of Magic
-Al Stewart's
Year of the Cat
-
JAM Project
-Arca's
'Cruel Moon' (or, really, anything
Moonlight Lady related)
-
Simoun
-
The King of Braves GaoGaiGar
-
Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem (anyone who claims to like anime owes it to him/herself to watch it)
-Kurt Vonnegut's
Slaughterhouse-5
-
Dune, although Brian Herbert's 'sequels' aren't worth my money.
-
Les Misérables, which is quickly becoming the best book I've ever read.
-Stephen King--the man has
two Bram Stoker awards, and a Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters. He may have some stinkers, but the man is a
writer.
-The sharp contrast between the vivid green of plants and the blinding blue of the sky up in the mountains of my old home. Too bad I can't properly photograph it.
-The smell of damp soil and wet plants after it drizzles
just enough.
-Napping under a tree
-The smell of a brand new book
-Books, in general. E-readers are nice and all, but
nothing beats printed paper.
-Watching anime with a bowl of popcorn
-Sunflower seeds
-
Cam Clarke
-
Scott Mcniel, particularly the continuing coincidence where he voices two characters at the same time in one show (see: Ruby-Spears' Megaman, where he voices Protoman and Dr. Wily, and Beast Wars where he voices Rattrap and Dinobot)
-
CLAMP's artwork, circa Card Captor Sakura--their characters are too noodle-like for my tastes these days.
-
Carnelian
-
Naoki Urasawa, quite possibly one of the best mangaka alive today.
-People who can tell the difference between a 'good' book and a 'popular' book
-
Treasure--
Gunstar Heroes and
Astro Boy: Omega Factor are two of the best games I've ever played. Shame about the 'Bleach' games...
-
Niel Gaiman; I'd sell my entire video game collection to see him collaborate with
Hirohiko Araki on something,
anything.
-While I'm at it,
Hirohiko Araki.
-
Ender\'s Game
-The kind of dog that has a seizure whenever you start petting it
-The way that cats just
slump into your hands when you pick one up
-Strawberry ice cream
-Wearing glasses--you couldn't pay me to wear contact lenses
-Wearing business suits. Too bad I actually have crappy taste in clothes, otherwise...
-Paleontology (huge dinosaur-buff since I was a kid, no lie)
-Come to think of it,
The Land Before Time. Shame about the sequels...
-
Satyrday. Fun fact:
Don Bluth wanted to make an animated adaptation of it. I'd love to see something like that...
-Tim Burton's
Batman movies. No offense at all to Christopher Nolan, seriously--
Dark Knight is great and all, but for some reason, the camp and Art Deco-styled settings in
Batman and
Batman Returns appeal to me more.
-The
Boktai series
-Certain kinds of insects: praying mantises, dragonflies, bees (I find bees cute), the fuzzy-sort of caterpillars, and cicadas.
-Snails (they're not insects)
-Daddy Long-Leg Spiders
-Squid (also cute--including the majestic
GIANT KING SQUID!)
Arina Tanemura (a fellow King Squid enthusiast)
-
The Girl From Ipanema
-
The Man Your Man Can Smell Like. Look again:
the links are now diamonds!
-My shoes. They're not particularly awesome, but I really like 'em. They're broken in.
-
Steven Colbert--the actor
and the character, although separately.
-
Outlanders, along with the mangaka,
Johji Manabe. Too bad it's really hard to get a hold on
anything from the guy.
-
Eat-Man. Too bad that it's
also tough to get a hold of. (It's tough, liking old manga....)
-The
Megami Tensei series. It's what Final Fantasy
could be if it wasn't so stuck-up about graphics these days.
-Dungeon-crawlers like
NetHack, the
Izuna series,
Shiren the Wanderer, and
Etrian Odyssey. (The Pokemon: Mystery Dungeon games are a little too simple for me, although the concept of playing
as Pokemon is pretty cool).
-
H.P. Lovecraft. The concept of evil, incomprehensible terrors terrors beyond the scope of humanity existing in the dark corners of Earth is awesome!
-Japanese Giant Robots, whether Real-type (like
Gundams, or
Votoms) or Super-type (the aforementioned
King of Braves, GaoGaiGar,
Getter Robo); because what else is gonna face off against those Elder Gods?
-The artwork of
Amazuyu Tatsuki, particularly
ToHeart 2 and
Utawarerumono, although I really wish ToHeart had a more involving story.
-
Phantasy Star. The only female character I like more than
Nei is
Tomomi Harukawa
-
Read Or Die.
Yomiko Readman trumps both
Nei and
Tomomi Harukawa.
-Ice-cold lemonade and cinnamon rolls.
Fornication
Under
Command of the
King yeah! Bring on the cavities!
-Pretzels--the baked, thick kind.
-Speaking with someone,
anyone, who knows English
-My friends: Jove (a brilliant man), Danny (way fun to be around), Gerald and Luis (hard-working twins with saintly patience), the
other Luis (loveably goofy), Eddie (too excitable, but a damn good friend if I ever had one), Rene (my bro), Stephanie (because there has to be a girl), Danny's girlfriend Francis (also fun to be around, and she makes awesome pins!), Delmarie (uniquely hilarious), Raphael (a loveable scamp of a scoundrel) and Eliezer (the only man as nerdy as I am). Those guys have helped me become the person I am in the last four years.
-
Stars. They're the ultimate life-form. They're made of the same stuff we are. They last
eons. I wonder what they think about...
-Did I mention I think bees are cute? Yeah, bees are cute.
-Funnel cake. My goodness, I haven't had one in over ten years...
-
Miyabi Fujieda. His works are yuri-centric, and while they might not be realistic depictions of lesbian relationships, they're heartwarming. The media needs more optimism these days...
-
Scorpiomon. All he wanted were some clams. He loved clams...;_;
-Transformers. I'd have my shelves lined with Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, Predacons, and Vehicons if only I didn't feel weird about buying toys...
Things I don't like:
-People with poor grammar
-
Reggeaton
-
Kira Yamato and Lacys Clyne.
-People who impose their beliefs on others
-People who are intolerant of other people's cultures
-Racists
-Political pundits
-Ennui
-
La Charca (known in the U.S. as \'The Pond\'). It's a seminal work of Puerto Rican literature, the
first serious Puerto Rican novel, an invaluable piece of my birthplace's history, and I would defend that book even if I had to face all of
Nyarlathotep's thousand hideous forms...but,
mein Gott, does it make me want to slit my wrists!
-People who complain problems, but don't do anything else about them
-People who cut themselves
-Linkin Park
-
FOEs. Those terrible, terrible FOEs...
-People who try to defend out-and-out villains like Sephiroth or Draco Malfoy--I don't care how sad their pasts are,
there is no justification for inflicting harm on your fellow man or woman.
-'OTP's. I don't care how much homosexual subtext there is, I don't care how much you dislike
Relena Peacecraft, I don't care how
faaaaaabulous Heero Yuy and Duo Maxwell are,
they're not gay, and Heero shacked up with Relena. Deal with it. (That's what you get for watching
Wing and not
G.)
-There's not enough yuri in the U.S. Heck, we didn't even get the second volume of
Iono The Fanatic.
-We can't get one more 'regular'
Phantasy Star, but there are
three Final Fantasy XIIIs.
-People who think that anime is just a lot of violent tentacle porn from Japan
-The old 'Dub/Sub' debate
-The old '
Robotech/
Macross' debate
-The old 'Pro-Life'/'Pro-Choice' debate
-Republican/Democrat hatred
-Rush Limbaugh
-Micheal Moore
-My father's unending hypocrisy
-That really bad feeling of nausea I get before seeing the results of a test I took
-Anything that exists for the sake of itself (gore for the sake of gore, rebelliousness for the sake of rebellion, etc)
-I didn't cry at my Uncle's funeral. I don't care about how I might have been support for my mother,
et all, but the fact that I couldn't shed a tear for my own uncle is wrong.
-Anti-laborist policies
-Falling asleep in class
-The fact that most anything I like is extremely obscure, and as such, impossible to talk about with anyone, as any conversation about it devolves into a one-sided speech about what it is.
-Kraft cheese
-When my last ship gets kidnapped by aliens in
Galaga.
-The fact that I need to explain to people what
Galaga is.
-Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is so darn unbalanced....
-Cheese in my hamburgers
-Those people at conventions who carry those gawd-awful 'Free Hugs' signs.
The fact that I
want to collect Transformers, but I'm scared of buying toys.
-
Bears
I'm a weird guy with an occasional cynical streak sandwiched between optimism, and lots of self-depreciative humor. Feel free to chat with me if you want, I literally never log off from Gaia, although I'm not usually around during weekends. Have a nice day.

Typically biting on skin is a behavior learned through puppyhood.
If he was separated from his litter mates too soon, it could be that he never learned to properly play and defend himself (or bite the other puppies skin.)
So your skin is a new texture and he loves it.
If he hurts you, you can try freezing a stick of butter, put some on your hand, and as he begins to lick the butter and it hurts, yelp (as a puppy would in pain).
This should help him learn "It hurts". And stop...
However this technique is best taught to puppies about 5 months when they begin teething.
As all training is.
*Language is the source of misunderstandings*
Depends c:
Is it a puppy or a dog older than a year?

Certainly, check it out. Honestly, I'm really rather surprised more people haven't watched/heard about it. Also surprised it never got aired on network TV. It certainly could have.
Sounds interesting. It took me a while to get into YKK, but once I got far enough in, I couldn't put it down razz . I'll definitely check it out when I get the chance.
The first Gatekeepers is rather...light. Pretty kid friendly. Funny, considering the sequel OVA, Gatekeepers 21 is pretty much the opposite, rather dark series.
No I have not read that, are you recommending it? And yeah, I can only dream someday....I know I wouldn't hesitate to buy all of YKK if I had the opportunity.
Big O lol. But yeah the industry definitely isn't doing very good here at all. Shame really, I'd really really love to own YKK for example razz .
And if it hasn't been licensed yet, I am kind of doubting it will ever happen at this point lol.
