Uh huh? Well you should have seen me in middle school, I swear, our freinds where actully annoyied at us for singing our music to them! Although, I think we may have been off key. Any way, I can play the trumpet, baritone, trombone, and french horn. Non of the tubas will let me touch there tubas User Image

Hello! Band is awsome! I totally agree, I play trombone by the way. Me and one of my freinds in my band are crazy, we have come up with our own dances, she plays flute, I play trombone, it is completely awsome like. CHIBIS AWAY!

Hooray for brass!! I'm ... none of those things, actually. I blame me growing up with 4 guy friends for every 1 girl friend.

I think I like brass better than my section, anyway. The band freshmen went to a park to hang out today, and I was the only pure woodwind in my little group. There was a trumpet, mello, trombone/bassoon, me, and a percussionist.

Mhm, I see... Well, welcome to my profile page, fellow band geek and fellow freshman! I see you are the first non-trumpet on here, but you can still be a buddy of mine. I have nothing against flutes, but I do have a thing against most flute players in my band. But there can be non-dramatic, non-catty, non-perfectionist, non-overflowing with estrogen, non-bimbo flute players also! Hopefully... But yeah, my band is sorta like that too. Marching is always fun, well to me, and I like our roll-step style- we switched from swing style to roll since we have a new BD this year. Anywho, brass instruments are really fun, and I shall be learning baritone and trombone this year as well. User Image

Hooray for band geek! *hugs* I has a friend who plays trumpet!! Actually, I know a lot of trumpet people ...

I play ... flute. No duh. I'm a freshman this year and I <3 marching! The upperclassmen are cool (and actually, a good number of them are older siblings of random people in my grade, like one of our drum majors and this one person in my section are the older sisters of populars who seemingly have nothing to do with band ... sorry if that was confusing).

Yep... sorta. lol. Band camp was the most interesting thing. But the rest of the time I'm stuck with my parents who nag me all the time, so ironically school is like vacation compared to this, you know... Heh, school starts the 14th for me, so that's good. What about you?

Yeah! I'm back from band camp!! It was freakin fun! We're playing Getaway as the opener of our Earth Wind and Fire show! I have the 3rd tpt parts, but I'm nailing them and all the drill sets. Woot!

I have nice awesome buddies, [which are mostly upperclassmen] some of which are a male sophomore trumpet who plays worse then me, and lots of buddies from drumline, a male sophomore tenor

sax player who has slight social problems, and the two drum major girls are my buddies. And my friends that I hangout with all the time are a female junior drumline person, a female freshman drumline person,

a female freshman saxophone, and some people. And then there's my section leader, who tries to always get my attention by saying hi to me and complimenting my marching and messing around with other guys

and showing off his trumpet abilities, which is freaky...

Then the baritone leader, who I have a crush on, who's really cool but can be all sad and lonely sometimes, so then I'm all nice to him and then he's happy and I'm happy. User Image

And he's really funny also.

Oh, and I'm finally over my other crush who I never even met. Yay.

I might play baritone for concert season so then I could be in my crush's section. User Image

In fact, I currently don't have a crush yet... I'm just a freshman and my band camp is... *pause* OH MY GOD IT'S TOMORROW!! ...Yep, it's tomorrow. User Image

I hope I have a good time.

But anyway, wait- I DO have a crush. But I haven't seen him in like, two years! And he goes to a different high school. He's a year older than me, and he went to my middle school. He was baritone section

two years in a row, and in the district honor bands, and now in HS band. Last year he, being a freshman, was baritone section leader at his HS. AND he played trombone.

But the lamest thing is.... I haven't had a crush on him until I finally remembered him over the summer, after two stupid years, what a nice person he was... *sigh* But hopefully I'll see him at a football game or

something. Meh, I guess I'm almost over him. Not yet, but almost. I just might be completely over him tomorrow... band camp holds very interesting things in freshmen future. Nah, I shouldn't overestimate crap like

that...

OH! Who here likes Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen! I love that song!

i hghly doubt that lmao. my entry to the band nerd guild took almost 45 minutes and i was typing fast.....

i play flute, a bit of baritone, tenor alto and baritone saxophone, barely any trustable friends outside of band, i have cried over upperclassmen in the band graduating, been through 6 band directors, cried over 2, am best friends w my ex assisstant directors daughter, am in love with my drum major and fellow saxophone player dating since october 2005 when he was my squad leader, squad leader and drill captain 2 years, taking lessons every thursday an hour and a half away, bought 2 saxes, one dented in so i bought a brand new JK series sax, jupiter intermediate flute, brother plays trombone, ive been to band camps in commerce texas, made 1st division solo ensemble, cried, and went out and celebrated, i have 4 tshirts that i bought on my own from competition, this will be my junior year in band, im learning bassoon to go through college, if I marry Joe, (drum major) I'll be a band directors wife.
