I am a youthful teen with an upbeat and carefree attitude, as demonstrated at first in the story as I am rather childish, however, I turns more serious when things get hectic. Despite my carefree ways, I conceals a troubled past and a more mature and caring persona, because of the hardships during childhood towards my father. In fact this is what motivates me to become a Blitzball player, even to the point that I desires nothing more than to return to my world and wrap myself up on it instead of facing my new reality in Spira.

To my dismay, I has a strong resemblance to my father who at some point denied his position, taking things easy at every time and never worrying about the present situation leaving things for tomorrow, a trait that I despised about him. This is pointed out by Auron several times through the game by telling me that he is running away.

For my cheerful personality, it is interesting to note that I am quite sensitive, thinking things through, and even when giving an emotional response to most of my arguments, I tends to give a rational idea, just as I explains to Yuna about my ideas about the Yevon faith, and even when the we face the truth about the Final Aeon, I am capable of giving the others a reasonable doubt concerning their fate.

Most of my personality is related to my father's comments about me, but despite being offensive to me, at heart Jecht was proud of me and my resolve, which in turn made me hate Jecht and think rather lowly of himself, as long since I am not too sure if he is capable of surpassing my father despite my desires. However as the story develops, I grows into a mature nature and selfless persona that even Auron acknowledges, and so, I chooses to finish the battle for the sake of my friends, father, and myself, to save the world.
