~Oh hi there~

I grew up with Sega and my brother was lucky enough to borrow the Phantasy Star games for Sega Genesis. I actually experienced Phantasy Star series before the Final Fantasy series.
Is 3 months really that old enough to be considered a necro? Especially if the OP's activity in the thread was only a month ago.
I always see people post in RIG lists in the GCD that are even half a year old but no one ever locks those.
Vampyrn has an alchemy thread guide that he hasn't posted in since February and people are still posting in it (sometimes spam like bumps) and it's not locked.
So I'm just wondering what's so special about that enki catch thread that it had to be locked because it really confuses me. I wouldn't consider the last post much of a necro. Even if it was low content it wasn't really spam.
Plus if Gaia now has a feature that automatically locks old threads from being posted in (necro'd) doesn't it mean mods don't have to lock threads anymore, unless requested to by the OP?
I noticed you locked this thread for being necroed:
http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/gaia-item-alchemy/alchemy-components-in-enki-s-catches/t.79059353_31/
But if you look a few posts above yours the OP is actively posting in it too (post date June 14, 2012).
If the OP posts in the thread recently too doesn't that mean it's okay to post in a necored thread? The necro is only 1 month since it's last activity too...also, doesn't Gaia now have a measure to prevent threads from being necroed?
