Hello! biggrin
Darkerdemons Report | 10/21/2017 1:02 pm
redface Secured third place in the monster flash contest.

I really need to finish off that zombie avatar in the next couple days though. lol

biggrin Thank you! There are other fabulous submissions that I think have a higher change of winning the flash contest. Depends on the judge's tastes.

Glad you like it!

The contest I’m submitting the invisible man for had a mini 1 week “crash” contest. Didn’t put much time into this avatar and limited it to items I own, but thought I’d submit something anyways, lol. Sometimes items just happen to snap together really well. ._.

Yeah I took a very extended hiatus. *lol* Well I got frustrated with Gaia after my account got hacked and I lost pretty much everything and the lack of response or help was totally disheartening. I have two friends who are on it and they were like you should come back and pretty much harassed me to give it another shot with how much it's changed. XD SO, here I am.

Glad you figured out where to switch between currencies and the conversion rate (10,000,000 Gold = 1 Platinum). wink

Gaia had a great thread with the official details for the new platinum currency. Not sure why the link got removed from the home page since it was such a great resource. sweatdrop

Alex- e_e Dark's outfits are frequently gender loose, but I think the problem with the outfits she's currently working on is they are too feminine.

Dark- =3= Darn... I thought the looks were rather cool, but you're right, that's what is bugging me.

From what I understand platinum is supposed to help balance out Gaia's economy. More platinum is granted for features that used to grant little gold, such as posting in the forums. Platinum also caps faster and grants less for features that used to grant a lot of gold, such as Lake Kindred. Some users are dodging the process by switching back and forth (e.g. use platinum currency when browsing and posting in the forums; use gold currency when farming trees in Lake Kindred). I think it will take time to see if the new currency works as intended. From the aquarium point of view, it's nice to see ~75% of aquarium items cost 1 platinum. 1 platinum can easily be made by posting in the forums, so 20 posts enables a user a full tank of good fish and some nice decorations.

I still feel really poor, but I think that's because I'm questing something insanely expensive and don't spend much time in the games that earn a lot of platinum, lol.

lol My sense of value on Gaia is skewed as a result of the platinum currency.

Been trying to put a musketeer avatar together for Alex, but I'm not satisfied with any of the outfits. Maybe he doesn't want to be a musketeer. confused

Love the autumn colors outfit! biggrin

Adding on to my comment below.

xp It took a long time to get a combination of items that I was satisfied with. I've got at least two other outfits named "Orange WIP" that I spent a while on before scratching them and returning to the drawing board.

About Me

Just another roleplay junkie with a love fore reading, writing, and (occasionally) drawing.

Joined Gaia for the avatars, back in '07, but ended up staying for the roleplays. My interests in this area lie in fantasy, urban/dark fantasy, and post-apocalyptic; however, I am experimenting with a Scifi-Neo Victorian genre, currently. Though I am the creator and manager of a small group roleplay (off site), I actually prefer 1x1 RPs.

As you can tell by the gif-image above, I am a struggling writer. My efforts must've burnt me out, because I've been on a year-long hiatus. Seeds of inspiration have been sowed since then, and I haven't produced anything worth refining. I'm not sure when I'll get back on the ball.
