Will knew Hannibal's question was just another empty ploy of his to mimic interest in matters Will knew Hannibal could care less about. Even in his cage, Hannibal was still at his games. It just never ended.
"Jack sent me because he trusts me." Will's stormy gaze settled onto Hannibal's stoic expression, the corners of Will's lips furling down from the bad taste those words left in his mouth. Trust. Jack didn't trust him. Not entirely. But Will's selfish necessity to distance himself from the man on the other side forced him to say anything that would get under Hannibal's skin. Though, he couldn't say he would ever see that for sure.
As the man sifted through the pages, Will's eyes traced over the scattered bits he could see on each page. They called the serial killer the "Vow Breaker" for one particular reason--not including Tattlecrime's article which coined the term.
"The killer murders his victims before removing the left ring finger," Will continued, lowering his eyes from Hannibal as he began to pace the front of the cell. "Each scenario ends with two or more bodies, but in all cases a married couple is killed and their rings are removed. Any children or other occupants in the home are slaughtered."
[I hope this is a good enough idea of a serial killer xD if it's lame, we can just change it.]
