I definitely know that song. interesting. music's not exactly my big thing, so I'm not familiar w/ a lot outside mainstream (or even that much)
but wow, that's awesome. shame he's leaving, but a great opportunity and can still keep in touch.
it's mostly just weird since there's not really much in this area. small town producing a great jazz musician

my uncle married into a family that has connections in the country music industry. my aunt's best friend is Linda Davis, her daughter is Hillary Scott. I was the ringbearer at their wedding, Hillary was the flowergirl. she's also my cousin's best friend (and Linda is her godmother)

Fencing is also very fun to participate in. Unfortunately I have to go to minneapolis to do it again, but it's only part of a three part stage sword fighting thing and not actual duels. Thank goodness a professor at a random college in Newfoundland happened to have a bunch of fencing equipment to start a club. Easily one of my favorite parts of my time there.

That's basically how I got into fencing and sumo. There was a fencing club in the college I exchanged at senior year and I decided to try it out. Got hooked and now it was pretty much the only thing I watched at the last olympics lol I didn't even watch most of the soccer tournament. I only really got into sumo this year. My mom was very confused when she first saw I recorded it on the DVR. Your singing is pretty normal, but you're confident enough to record it and put it on the internet in response to a shitpost.
