☮ About Me ☮

Greetings, visitor. My name is Christine, but I often just go by Lewi (or Garden Octopus). Any of those work for me. :]

I'm an introverted girl who enjoys peace and quiet. The better to read in!
I like to play games, read things, take walks, knit, and I love life.
I'm a college student with a primary focus on horticulture. Yay plants!
I live with my family and my partner in central California.
My future goals are a jumble of wiggles and squiggles. By that, I just mean they aren't entirely conventional. I want to be a homesteader. I want to raise a kid or two, grow old with people I love, spend as much time as possible sharing my heart, and learning as much as I can about gardening, knitting, love, the world, and just... life! I'd like to make things for people, help people better their lives by making healthy decisions, and doing my part to make the world a better place.
All of this shall be done from the comfort of a cozy, little hobbit hole. =]

Some lil' tidbits 'n stuff:
I'm quite sensitive, but I forgive myself for my silliness.
I dislike arguments and unnecessary insults.
I loath the act of lying.
I'm generally optimistic, sometimes unrealistically so.
I live by The Four Agreements;
if I say something that has upset you, while I am sorry that it affected you that way, I did not mean it to be personally hurtful.
I am irritatingly open-minded... until ya start harming others intentionally.
My favorite animal is the deer.
I think the faun is the coolest mythical creature ever.
I'm a lil' bit crunchy. <3
My alignment is neutral good (with a lean towards chaotic) and my MBTI is INFJ. I know those are kinda silly over-generalizations, but I still find them to be helpful in learning about people anyway. =)
I probably think you're beautiful. Just Saiyan.

Perhaps I will add more later. ^^ Better yet, talk to me! Yes, you! =D Seriously! If you think we seem compatible, I would love to chat.

Previous or alternative gaia names: Blacklamb, Wary Hermit, Gorelamb, Garden Octopus, French Fried Octopus, Friend of Soil

Octopus's Garden of Thought

This is, essentially, a personal journal. Sometimes my thoughts are meant to be private, but other times... well, I guess they just aren't. By all means, intrude. :]

The Four Agreements

1. Be Impeccable With Your Word
Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.

2. Don't Take Anything Personally
Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality, their own dream. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

3. Don't Make Assumptions
Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness, and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life.

4. Always Do Your Best
Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best, and you will avoid self-judgment, self-abuse, and regret.

The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (A Toltec Wisdom Book) written by Don Miguel Ruiz is an amazing book that started a process in my mind that I had desperately been awaiting to begin since the moment I first felt sadness. If they sound even remotely interesting, mind opening, or life changing to you, then I encourage you to at least give it a Google or consider them every once in a while. It literally changed the very foundation of my thinking, and I believe I am a happier person for having read it. =)
