I joined Gaia in June 2010 at the suggestion of some friends. I had originally thought that the site revolved around zOMG and so I quickly delved into it, trying to go through the different areas and raise my levels as quickly as possible.
Then a friend pointed out that I was completely missing the point of zOMG...it's an MMORPG, which means that it has no definite end (and therefore cannot be "beaten") and it requires working together with others to successfully complete. I have never played an MMORPG before and so once I found out what it entails, I was somewhat hesitant to continue, since I always thought working together with others in a game was cheating, like I was asking for help on something I should be able to do myself.
I was apparently also missing the point of Gaia in general...it's not just about zOMG, it's a large online community where people can hang out and have fun. And that made me even more hesitant to participate, since this wasn't what I agreed to when I joined. To be frank, I'm socially inept and couldn't carry on a normal conversation with someone if my life depended on it. And that's why my friends are insisting I stay here on Gaia...so I can learn to communicate with people I don't know, and especially on a personal level. That said, if you want to get to know me better, feel free to send me a personal message.
A thousand thanks to Zeffra the Cat from DeviantART.com for drawing this AWESOME rendition of my avatar!
I figured you would get it. :3 Thank you, thank you! Ha ha. We really want to get an FHA renovation loan and fix up a bigger older house. We have found two we like, and we know they would take a lot of work. But I have a fantastic discount at my job that would help out a lot.
