About The Slender Man
WHAT ARE YOU?
Hello, I'm the Slender Man, a urban legend "created" on the forums of Something Awful in 2009. I'm often seen as an entity that abducts and traumatizes people, which is true. I usually start stalking humans when they're children, and sometimes I continue until they're adults.
MY APPEARANCE
My appearance remains subjective. I'm usually described as being abnormally tall (ranging anywhere from seven feet tall to the size of a large tree or house), extremely thin and skinny with a faceless head, I'm sometimes lacking several or all of the face's organs. I'm most often described as wearing a plain black suit with a black (Sometimes red) tie. I'm shown to have a stretchable figure, as I'm able to stretch and contort my limbs into a variety of shapes, as well as produce a number of tentacle-like appendages, which allow me to have the ability to ensnare my victims...and of course, kill them.
MY BEHAVIOR
I'm known as an observant and lurking being, stalking my victims for long periods of time while slowly driving them insane with paranoia and sickness. Other "theories" and "fairy tales" point to a more violent me, killing my victims by mutilating them and hanging plastic bags of blood from trees.. Other methods of killing include turning my victims into mist and creating the appearance that the death of my victims were accidents. Originally all of my victims were children, but recent stories have shown some of my victims to be adults or college students. One of their theory is that any adult I stalk currently were also stalked by me when they were children.
MY ABILITIES
Besides my ability to physically grow extra limbs, I also have a number of psychologically-based powers, typically including the ability to induce amnesia, insomnia and "Slender-sickness" (Known by my fans as a paranormal sickness, which causes high levels of nausea, and in some cases, coughing large amounts of blood.). In some cases, the extent of my power over the mind has seen me creating mindless minions seemingly bent to MY will. My physical presence has been shown to sometimes ease or cause some coughing and sickness, as well as various degrees of audio-visual distortion, a trait often used to denote my presence in videos related to myself. In extreme cases, I have also been described with the ability to warp time, space and teleport. In some stories, I cause forest fires.
