I'm Dutch, but enjoy speaking English very much, and I just obtained my Master's degree in French Language and Culture. Alors si tu veux parler français...Allons-y! cat_smilies/icon_nodding.gif

I'm specifically interested in
- a) 19th century literature and culture, mostly of the United Kingdom and France, and
- b) the way in which writing has offered (more) freedom and a sense of identity to suppressed social groups in different ages and around the globe (for instance to the colonized peoples living within the France colonial empire).

But enough about that, as for Gaia:
