A Little About Me..
I'm 22 years old. I smoke, smoke, and drink. I like to party. I have piercings and tattoos. I am also an artist.. :]Hello.
My name is Tamoko and I joined Gaia on Feb 23, 2003, just 5 days after Gaia was first started. I remember when there was a Gaia Chat that by just sitting in it would generate you gold. They soon disabled that. I also remember when there were only a few pages to the only store on the only map. Barton Town, Barton Boutique. I also remember when 4000G or 5000G made you rich. I also remember when a halo was being sold for only tens of thousands of gold. I remember when Lanzer replied to your posts. I remember the Gaia Personals! Let's just say i'v been around for alot. And i'v had my share of mishaps with the TOS as well as people abusing the TOS against me. I'v learned my lesson many times and i'v been through alot over the past 5 or so years.
Now, a misconception of older members is that we have all the items, are rich, and have a vast knowledge of Gaia Online. Just because we have rare items does not mean we're rich. How do you think we received these items? Not everyone donated when donating first started. And we know what we like. If someone hangs in the Gaia Gaming section then that someone know mainly about the gaming forums and stuff about gaming related to Gaia. They probably participate in the games on Gaia.
Basically don't send me a PM or a post or anything for that matter begging, asking, sweet-talking me for items/gold. I, as well as every old member of Gaia worked hard for everything we have acquired. You are expected to do the same. That's also what makes the game so fun.
And some other things to live on while on Gaia..
Unless you know the person very well never
accept an item/gift/donation form them. That may be a hacked account and if you accept that item you might be banned......forever.
Keep your password to yourself. Don't even give it to your best friend who is also on Gaia. Not a good idea. Also, switch them often. Memorize it and keep it only in your mind.
Don't let someone borrow your item for too long. I've lent out so many items and I forget to whom...now I fear it'll never get those items back.. You tend to lose track over time..and just forget..
And most of all read the TOS. It'll be the biggest help to you.
Have a happy day and be good!
