I would just like to apologize for my poor behavior in the child licensing/application thread.
I generally respect your stances, but I did not act like it and it was clear we just disagreed.
I'm not either but it was an awesome class with a TA I'd have after-class discussions about usually involving students, psychology, and academia in general. Also China since we both were semi-fluent in Mandarin.
Art is way cooler anyways. Creativity and originality is actually really hard to come by. I don't really have a lot of artistic talent at all but my closest friends from high school attend well-known art schools so I know a lot just by having been friends with them for so long. It makes me a good art critic.
I don't if you've ever gotten your hands on any direct translations of text books in other countries but they're pretty fun to look at. I spent the majority of time in a History of China class just on reading through their basic school text books on Ancient China and going over how to differentiate between factual information, assumptions/conclusions made from those facts, and all of the biases and reason why the Chinese government might want to make their historical accounts appear a particular way. I think every history class needs a similar component to it like that at some point.
