It does- and I already did that and found a pretty good site. I'm actually taking my english teachers advice and elaborating on this creative nonfiction piece i turned in (even though it's sorta useless, since i can't turn in revisions. I'm just doing it for practice).
I'm a little worried though- I don't remember shopping with my mom, or what we discussed.... but I have to include that in my story or it will seem like I just skipped a whole section without reason to.
So I'm worried about the ethics of creative nonfiction ie creating conversations that didn't really happen but have the general feel of the relationship I had with that person.
I think my notes explain it better than me (yes i'm taking notes, and writing this right now >.> what can I say, I'm bored. and notes are fun)
Oh, I don’t want to skip too far ahead so I shall fib a bit and describe grocery shopping to show how my mom and I interacted. I hope that’s not cheating.
When shopping I won’t think about what happened at all- is that a good idea or a bad idea? Bad=reader might get bored and be like wtf. Good=shows my naivete, relationship with mom.
Not to mention I would be making stuff up since=not remember. :< =bad.
