That's good to hear! I hope it continues to treat you well.
Ooh, a thread? Perhaps I should hop over for a visit, then.

Oh, no, that's quite alright, really! Please don't feel any pressure about it.
And I've been doing well, thank you for asking. How about yourself? How is the week treating you?

This is very exciting to hear! I am really looking forward to it now, so thank you!
And Fantasy Life is really good, too. I thought the game looked great, and it was really easy for me to pick up and enjoy. The main story is really cute, too.
Something about being able to change your hair style and color on a whim, despite it doing absolutely nothing for your stats, ah, how satisfying!

It's tough, there are so many good ones. There are also some really wonderful amateur chefs/cooks who have their own Youtube and some seriously nice camera equipment. There are also just as many turds with great cameras and the worst taste in food. I don't want to see you make 30 different kinds of burgers with wads of greasy meat, hard pass. Oh! I bought a Joule (it's this baton-sized sous vide machine) and that was really fun for a while. With the summer, maybe I can get back into it...I was shocked at how it cooks meat!

And aw, that's so cute! Your poor brother seems to be suffering the same fate, hahaha.
Do you ever gravitate toward any meal(s) in particular? Like a go-to?
I think I get stuck on a few dishes for a while, then rotate them out with another few and repeat every couple of months. Sometimes it's not even a full meal, just a large bowl of popcorn and pickles; I have the worst diet sometimes.

I bought some frozen mango, and I will mix it with some oatmeal, frozen banana, and water/plant milk. I splurged on some matcha powder and have been making some really yummy matcha shakes--I like that bitter taste it has.

Oh yes, the drives can be really gorgeous. Every few years, a friend and I take a trip down to Homer, this little coastal town about four/five hours away from where I live. It can be gorgeous in the summer, and with friends, well, it makes for some very wonderful memories. I'm not particularly fond of driving, but I've taken myself for a long scenic drive before to cool off or clear my head. Last year my mother and her friend went hunting for records in the backwood towns. To be honest, I didn't even know you could find records anymore, much less in a cabin off the highway in Alaska, hahaha.

That's no trouble at all! And please don't worry about responding immediately; take your time!
I figure the beauty of a forum is that you can take your time.

I wandered off myself to make lunch, but ended up kind of pacing around before settling on a smoothie.
Buying that little Cooks blender was probably the best purchase of my life.

Ah, I'm so glad you said that! I just ordered Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns the other day! It's due to arrive on the day of my last final, so I'm very excited! I heard it was because Natsume had a licensing issue...? But ah, if you love it, then I'm sure I will too! Ah, this is so exciting! Before this one, I was playing Harvest Moon: Tale of Two Towns. I thought the story and characters were really great, but there seems to be a glitch that happens every so rarely that restarts the day, and if you've done something like caught a good fish, or picked a lot of turnips....(;;-_-)

Oh goodness, those Zelda games were really wonderful, I almost completely forgot! I really loved LOZ: The Minish Cap, it was adorable! I love handheld games, too, especially the "sandbox" ones. I fell in love with this one game called Fantasy Life. Oh, Sprinkle, it's so cute! Some real action fighting, different classes, crafting, dress-up, and the game is cute to boot.

The Food Network is wonderful! I like Youtube for a lot of cooking channels, too, and have learned some great techniques. I'm afraid I'm not much of a baker, but it's hard to beat a good pretzel or cream puff.
I just adore Martha Stewart's style, but as for cooking, I think Nigella Lawson and Jacques Pepin are my favorites. The first show I ever watched to cook is called Cooking With Dog. It features mostly Japanese food, and there used to be this adorable little poodle named Francis (the host of the show) who sat on a chair next to the table while the chef cooked. The recipes were really easy to follow and gave a lot of insight into the cuisine. Ah, you're right, it's just like a holiday! And holidays are the best, because you get to make themed desserts! My room mates, when I lived with them, complained I was making them fat, ahahaha.

Oh yes, it's very beautiful here, and there are so many outdoorsy things to do. I'm afraid I'm a bit of a homebody, and like to be close to a kitchen, but it's still lovely, especially in the summer. And the law is very confusing! It can be simple, but also quite complex and it really is involved with everything. I mean, we enter into contracts all the time (movie ticket, anyone?) without realizing, and when I learned this, I was fascinated. I don't understand a whole world of it, but the more I learn about how it works, and how to research, the more exciting and intimidating it becomes. Kind of like waiting for something in the oven; you have an idea, but sometimes it's a total surprise what happens!

Oh not at all, I just didn't realize that I really put myself into school! I had a great internship for a while, but I'm afraid it ended a bit badly. I'm in this program called "legal studies" which focuses on law.
I'm hoping to go to a law school in the fall and eventually become an attorney. When I returned to school, on a whim I signed up for this "Legal Ethics" class and fell in love instantly. In addition to being very much interested in law, it's constantly challenging, and requires all the things that I have strengths in, which was a relief. For so long I had been trying to get into a science field and to be honest, it's a good thing I never got in; I'm just awful with math--like a true kryptonite.
I'd be more embarrassed if it weren't so pathetically bad, ahahaha.

What I love most is to host meals with friends. I enjoy cooking for others, or to be more honest, cooking new things and having others try them. I think a lot of it is pride, and the other part is trying out a new recipe or cuisine. When I worked in an office, I was always bringing in food or pastries that I made and making my coworkers tell me what they thought. There were a few busts, in my opinion, but I got the kinks out of a few recipes so I was happy about that.

Ah, but books, television, and entertainment are a great way to talk to people! They reach such a wide variety of people and it's a wonderful way to chat about a show you enjoyed or disliked with a complete stranger. Sometimes I watch my friends play video games, and if you can believe it, just a snippet of knowledge about a video game (I don't actually play them [aside from Harvest Moon on a rare occasion]) really saved me in a few conversations! Do you have any favorite games that you enjoy playing the most?

And oh, that's quite a family! Having some windows and natural light will really make the days so much better. I used to live in the basement, too, hahaha. My little sister moved back into the house for a small while and the look on her face when she thought she was getting one of the large guest/master bedrooms was incredible--we joke all the time that she's the princess. Here in Alaska, the sun doesn't really go away most of the summer so having a lot of windows means you don't have to turn on your lights, huehuhuuu.

I'm so excited for you! I really hope the move goes well!

Oh, that certainly will be a relief! I'm living with my family right now, and...//whistles and laughs
It's kind of funny how the older everyone becomes, the more particular we are about things.
I hope that it works out really well, the fourplex sounds like a great idea if you want to live close but not together; what a good find!

hahaha
I know a few people that were really into Kindred, and I found it was easy to play a bit mindlessly if I had a movie going. I'm afraid it's not quite my cup of tea, so to speak, but a really helpful tool for getting currency here. I was surprised to see how much that changed!

School is going well, thank you. I've been dragging my feet about applying for graduate school, though, so I'll have to get going on that in the next few days. The semester was pretty easygoing, and I'll be happy when it's all over; I've been in-and-out of school for so long. I started college, then dropped out to work, and repeated that a few times before finding something I really enjoyed, then hurt my back and took a year off, and now I'm finally finishing.

And I know the feeling sometimes about being boring, ahahaha. The other day, a peer asked me what I did for fun and there was a long pause because I only realized that at that point I stopped doing any kind of hobby. Isn't that just awful?

That's wonderful to hear, and what exciting news! May I ask the reason for the move? It can be such a big process, but what a relief when you're finally settled; I hope it goes smoothly.

I've been doing well, thank you for asking. I forgot about Gaia for a little while--the sweep of a busy life just had me forget all sorts of hobbies and pastimes. One day when I had some free time I just remembered this place, and I suppose with a little more free time after the semester I could be more active. I've just been finishing up school and drinking coffee late in the evenings, hahaha.

How about yourself? Up to anything in particular?

I've met a couple people who share the sentiments! I don't mind all the sunshine, as we have comparatively mild and enjoyable summers. I am thankful for the good weather and look forward to a few more weeks of transitional summer coolness.
Ah, thank you, that's very kind of you! There are so many items now, and with all the re-releases, I find myself stumbling across items I liked but at a now startlingly low sale price. It's quite a delight.

I'm doing well, all things considered. I was looking forward to working (love my job) and hosting parties with friends all summer, but I herniated a disc in my back and it's quite an experience. //can't help but laugh
I hunch over quite a bit and now it looks like I'm a little old witch shuffling off to check on her couldron. But, ah, yesterday I got to play with a pair of adorable little dogs, and had a good pastry, so life is well.
Do you have any particular plans once the weather cools down?

Oh, thank you, that's very sweet of you! I hope that you're doing well, too.
I am studying law at the moment. There's still a long road ahead of me, and it's a lot of effort, but it's very rewarding (even when I "lose" wink . Lately, I have enjoyed that no matter how competitive we can become, or adhere to strict no-sharing-information guidelines, we still help each other and support each other. Plus, it's kind of nice to spend the day debating.

How's the weather where you are? I saw a little snow on the mountains this morning, but I seem to have missed the moon--it was so dark! I am excited for Hallowe'en, even though I don't really do anything; the holiday is just enjoyable. How about you?
