REAL NAME: Adeline
ALIASES: Sphinx, Sphinx of Akhenaten
KNOWN RELATIVES: Parents residing in Elvish kingdom, disowned sphinx. five brother and sisters.
OCCUPATION: Sky Pirate
LEGAL STATUS: Legal resident of Aekea, although prefers Airship. Frequently found in Pubs and junkshops across Durem.
ORIGIN: Dark Elf renegade. Banned from respectable elf society for thievery, manipulation, and misconduct.
MARITAL STATUS: Legally Single, however has several suitors awaiting her return on the various locations she’s been to.
BASE OF OPERATIONS: Gaia Community Discussion, arguing her heart out.
OTHER Born name Adeline, but found it a pathetic name, so changed to Sphinx of Akhenaten.

PERSONALITY: Sphinx tends to be very vain and self centered. Quick to anger and quick to throw the first punch, she has the initiator of many a drunken brawl.
BRIEF HISTORY: Sphinx was banned from respectable Elvin society after being caught stealing parts from official air ship, this in conjunction with the accusations of her being a purse pincher. In early 2005, after commandeering herself a larger ship Sphinx happened across Gaia. There she took up residence in Aekea, finding it to have most of the supplies she needed to continue her tinkering.
NOTES: Unable to hang on to her gold, due to drinking and constant tinkering, sphinx finds herself constantly in need. Lazy and quick tempered, she also cannot hold a job.

Sphinx looked out the door of her house. No one. She could have sworn someone had knocked. A sound. She looked about. nothing. There was the sound again, she looked down. There, laying on the crown in a little basket was a small child. Sphinx's face contorted to that of pure terror. The child smiled back.
She slammed the door and pressed her back against it. Maybe if she pretended it wasn't there, it's mother would come and take it back. Yes, of course! it's mother would be bound to take it back once she realized this was a bad home for it. Satisfied with her excuse, sphinx walked back into the study and resumed working on the blue prints for her steam ship's add-ons.
It was only about five minutes into her work that a sound at the door distracted her. A small sob, which slowly began to grow was coming from outside the door.
Sphinx cursed to herself as she got up to go to the door. "shhh!" she shushed, the moment the door was open. "I'm working. your mom will come back and get you." The child stopped crying as soon as he saw sphinx at the door again and smiled, waving his arms.
"no." Sphinx said sternly, puckering her lips defiantly to the infant's request. He, oblivious to her disdain continued his attempts.
Sphinx's female side wore over and she picked the child up awkwardly. "just so you know," she told him, "this is a temporary situation. You're going to some where else tomorrow. I can't keep you." The infant gurgled happily at being held, despite sphinx's discomfort. "but, as long as you're here today I need something to call you." she paused for a minute to think and looked at the clock on the wall. Adwardius clock company. "Adwardius. and while you're here, Adwardius, you'll earn your keep. I expect no messes and you're to do exactly what I tell you."
