the legend of Sparry tate
I was born and bred in Tortuga, where I lived in the general manner of children there: running wild in the streets with other brats and fed a steady stream of pirate stories. Which we all idolized because being a pirate was synonymous with getting off that rock.(Surprisingly, though, most of us had fairly loving parents to go home to at the end of the day. But we still wanted t'be pirates.)
As yeh probably guessed, the word "Pirate" was synonymous with the word "Father," which most of us lacked. (I 'ave a stepda, but I liked pirate nonsense better.) An' of course, none of us scrawny urchins knew which pirate we could claim as kin. (Mom told me she'd tell me on my fourteenth birthday.)
So she told me. And now having the Sparrow Insanity t'blame my wild behavior on, I went looking fer him.
And I found him.
And then I got kidnapped, bargained for, returned, had my ears turned into fins, and embarked on a quest for the magical sea unicorn.
Yeah.
I'm glad I got off that rock.
