Actually, I totally get what you are saying about the writing style. I read it because a friend told me I was not allowed to watch the movie unless I've read the book, and I have this weird relationship with reading certain things in first person, and I just really did not like it with these books. It took me months after the first movie, and too many attempts, to finally get past the first chapter and then I think I just got used to it. I still didn't like the style itself too much, but I loved the plot so much more. I still have to finish the last book; I forgot what chapter I was on and am too lazy to go through it to check. Anyway, I read that you got the GoT books for your birthday from someone and were forcing yourself to read them, haha. I actually liked the style of those. I bought the e-books, but I still just read the first chapter of the first book and then my dad kind of vanished and I refuse to buy actual copies on them all and spent money again. Did you actually finish them?
Ahhh man I can't wait to see it. A friend told me Snow's granddaughter is already in it; did that work? I don't know if I like or hate the idea, but right now I don't mind it. Did it do the book justice? I was going to go see it on Sunday, but work called me in and I got super sad. But my superior is so sweet, he told me I could come see it for free because I replaced someone sick two times in a row and kept having to push my other crap back for it, so that's a plus I suppose. Just got to see it during the week and not weekend.
