I've been thinking recently. I have had a pretty rough life. I've tried to commit suicide, I've been assaulted. I've hendured every horrible thing that could come my way besides the death of myself and my beloved father. Yet I haven't renounced my faith. I've given up hope, yes. But I never lost my faith in my Catholic beliefs. I admit after some of the harsher things have happened to me it has been badly shaken but I still believe in a loving God above. I think if it weren't for that belief I would be ashes in an urn instead of flesh and blood typing this.I don't care what religion you take up (other than those of the Dark Arts and Cults) find somethingthat you can hold fast to in your time of need. Whether it be a Rosary, Cross, Star of David, Tao charm, find something that you can build off of to enrich, enhance, and perserve your life. Something that will make you want to become a better person.
I have learned through my life and those of my friends and family, things can always be worse. And when you don't speak for yourself and do not do all in your power to what's best for yourself, you lose that right. You have no alternative but to live the life chosen for you. Be not afraid of what comes and goes. You have the ability to surmount and surpass the things that block your goals and way life. Be strong.
Never give in to weakness, when you do you may lose everything or bare the scars of shame for doing so your entire life. Stay strong, and always try to become a better version of yourself. Aspire to become almost perfect. Aspire to be you.
